I am using this for an interior audio set-up on a boompole. The quality of the mic is great with a warm tone. I recommend purchasing with the kit to save money. The wood case is nice but I would've preferred a more durable Pelican style case which I ended up purchasing separately and leaving the wood case in storage.

I saw many reviews on YouTube and ended up with this. I'm pleased. I now use it for many indoor interview shoots. Indoors they're definitely better than lav or shotgun. The mic is so tiny I can easier carry it around. Quality wise, of course it can be better but at this price I'm not complaining.

I use this mic for interior interviews in most situations and am very happy with its performance. This is my third purchase of this mic, this time to augment another sound kit in our division.

I have been using the Audix SCX1/HC for indoor dialogue recording and it has been a great tool. For the money, it is a great investment.

Just picked one up for our documentary work. Can't go wrong with this mic, fantastic for indoor dialogue. Excellent quality. Audix has great customer service too! Always nice to buy a local, US product too :)

I'm not sure if I got a defective microphone, but the microphone creates a very loud distortion when it is placed about 20 cm of the subject or closer. I have tried contacting H&B but no luck =(

I did not use it a lot, but I can say that it sounds good.
