Good punchy sound. Mic has a pre equalized scoop that removes the boom and creates a clean whack with a clear attack.

Well made mic with punchy dynamics. Produces clear bass drum articulation with a strong bottom end that is not boomy.

This mic has a good solid build quality. The sound via a ported bass, is tight and articulate with good definition while maintaining a full bass drum sound without boominess.
If needed yes I would buy it again

ok i got this to record my drum set for my bands album but it didnt have the power for low bass sounds. i even cranked the bass on the mixer and then the recording software we use and it still sounded like it wasnt low enough. like i guess if you want to record jazz maby it would be good but deffinetly not for metal.
