I received this little mic and then compared it to my old Shure SM11-CM. Being a condenser mic vs the Shure dynamic mic it was no contest. It had plenty of gain so I could skip the mixer. The mic is relatively small compared to the Shure There is no cable rumbling or scratching sounds coming from the AT803B by contact with the audio cable. The sound is clean and crisp, just what I was looking for.

I use this with my Sony Handy-cam during interviews for videos I create. It's small enough that it's not too distracting, yet not too small that it's difficult to handle. The sound is great. It comes with one windscreen and a clip, but do your research if you want to order a back-up kit. I ordered one that was on this 'accessory' page, and they were all way too big...

I've used this sturdy mic several times now in interviews and it sounds fantastic. It eliminates ambient noise very well, including loud HVAC. It's a bit large, but no big deal. Great price, excellent quality. I love it.

I was toying around with making the purchase of a lavalier microphone but wasn't sure which one to go with. This mic is fantastic. I am using it for interviews and docs and it is fantastic value. You will not be dissapointed.

We use this microphone for doing interview style videos and it provides great sound and is easy to setup and use. The provided clip and windscreen lets you set up the mic hidden in a subjects shirt without noise from movement. If you are looking for a high quality wireless mic, this is a great solution.

I use it with a Tascam DR-40 and a Sound Devices MixPre for documentary interviews. It outputs low-noise, great-quality sound. It is a little big, so makes it a little more difficult to hide, but it's not too bad.

Use in the past month has been shooting scenes outdoors. Works fine after installing windproof sound almost like a room. Well in the upper range eq. Compared to similar microphones. Generally satisfied, especially with a good price compared to others.

I recommend it 100% very practical I give it a 5 star rating. The larger size gives it a really great sound. If you are looking for a relatively low cost lavalier mic with Professional performance using XLR, theAudio-Technica AT803B can be your choice.

Great mics for a good starter professional price. Unfortunately, I had to do the interview without windscreens, as they were way too large for the mics.

I use it for recording speakers at a local yeshiva. It works great, excellent sound. Just be careful about clothing sounds. I would have liked a little less mass on the clip on amplifier and simpler lighter plugs (XLR is very heavy). The box is also all metal and heavy. It would be nice to have a volume control. The control that is there (which has a flat versus logrithmic response) does not seem to make any difference. But I will tell you that this seemed like a good deal.

Using it in our 'home studio' for prosumer-level performance video recording. Working great. Sound level top notch, lightweight, easy to assemble/disassemble. Definitely just right for this level of work.

I have used this model in my TV studio for years and they can really take a beating. Glad they finally made the mic head replaceable since that is the part that goes first. Great mic and when I purchases B and H had the best price on the web.

The versatility of this wired lav is outstanding. Because you're using balanced audio, you can increase the distance and not worry about interference. At just over $100, nearly anyone can afford to have a couple of these to suppliment a collection and really expand your versatility as a producer.

Good quality audio at a better price than paying for a wireless lav mic. Good build quality. Biggest negative is that it is a little on the big side which makes it a little difficult to hide it sometimes, but it easy to get over that since you are saving a lot of money.

For the price, this is a great wired lapel mic. Tried some top of the line wireless mic.'s and they just couldn't stand-up to the quality and clarity of this mic. Haven't used this outside yet, but inside recording is spot on.

I use this with the XLR-BP box and Sony FX-1E camera - wasn't sure what kind of second mic to buy, but this one has great audio and works very well - good buy especially considering the price.
