I am using the microphone to record my voice for work and private uses. I tested it against the Shure Headset WH20 and the Sennheiser e835. The ears told me that the AT2020 is the better mic. I did a Reveal analysis in Peak Pro 6 (shows the gain response vs. frequency). The AT2020 showed a wider frequency range response than either the Shure or the Sennheiser mics. Before, I hated to hear my recorded voice. Now I can easily listen to it, even though I don't have the Radio Voice.

Haven't been using this microphone long enough to get a real grip on its ups and downs, but I can immediately tell compared to my previous microphone, a USB mic, that I am picking up more clear tones. More than that, the unpleasant noises that snuck in with recording are conspicuously absent. Despite the fact that purchasing this microphone in the end required me to replace nearly my entire audio setup, I consider it worthwhile.

This is a great microphone. One thing that cannot be understated here is the quality. The clarity is great and the fact that this does not capture all of that background noise is perfect. One issue i had with a previous microphone was interference from the electronic components affecting the audio. This has not been an issue with this mic. The finish of this is fantastic. I was terribly happy with the long USB cord provided. The carry bag keeps it nice and safe when not in use. Bravo AT.

I use the mic to record banjo (a notoriously difficult to record instrument) using a MacBook pro and Garageband as software. So far I am very pleased. The recordings reflect the tone of the instrument as I'm hearing it while playing. I cannot compare this mic to others since it is the first good quality mic I have used but the sound reproduction is very convincing. Since I cannot compare it I only give it four stars.

We had nothing and we needed to start recording audio to overdub on our in-house video productions. We bought this kit in conjunction with the Auray RFMS-580 Reflection Filter Tripod Mic Stand. While I think you can utilize the small desktop stand for the sound reflector, it is quite easy to tip over. The microphone works beautifully with our Macbook Pro and with Adobe Audition CC 2015 and Audacity. I do like that I can plug our mixing headphones into the mic. Very handy and nice.

I use it to record vocals (not professional recordings although I'm pretty sure there are ways to manipulate the recording to make it sound professional). But it's amazing. In a totally untreated room, just me and my mike. It's amazing - the first mic I ever bought. It makes your vocals sound really nice and bright, which is sometimes hard to even get with mics that hundreds of dollars more. I love this mic and I will NEVER get rid of it. I've recorded all kinds of stuff on it and it's my first love lol.

Perfect for anyone just breaking into the professional voice over world, as I am. The AT2020USB Condenser Microphone from Audio-Technica came highly recommended as a cut above lower end usb connection mics because of its absence of electronic distortion. I sound crystal clear. I approve!

I purchased this mic for voice over work. Still in processes of working out optimum setup and software. This mic has everything you need to digitally record and podcast. You can start recording with software like audacity which is free or higher end paid software with more capabilities. Just plug in the provided usb cable to your computer and go. If you need recording for great price this is it. Haven't found any cons for this product yet.

I bought this to start podcasting and it has been amazing. It requires quiet surroundings but has superb quality that is near or equivalent to NPR. It's very easy to use and operate, and it was a great bonus that it came with free headphones!

I bought this microphone to make training videos for college instructors. I wanted something inexpensive but still produced a quality sound. I am not disappointed. The sound is fantastic, set up is easy and the quality exceeds my expectations. It's heavier than I though but I don't carry it around when using it, it sits on my desk.

This is a really good condenser microphone regardless of price. I'm so happy with the sound and the quality of construction that I don't think I ever need to upgrade from this. I know there're better microphones out there, but you really need to pay much more to get marginal improvements over this one.

Great microphone, much higher quality than would be expected for the price, and it looks cool, too. It is much (fortunately) smaller than its main competitors from Blue Microphones (Snowball and Yeti), but is definitely of substantial (enough) size and weight. I am definitely not a pro, and in fact this is my first high quality microphone. I did read extensive reviews before making the decision. So, FWIW, i'm really happy with the AT2020USB.

I bought this USB microphone specifically for voice over work and video creation for my business and client's videos. I can say, without a doubt, that this mic has lived up to all of it's claims and more. The sound quality is amazing. I am such a huge fan of this mic, I am buying an Audio Technica lavalier microphone to use for iPhone videos.

Full 20-20 freq. response. great for instruments vocals or podcasts. I'm getting another to do ambient room tracks, during band rehearsal.

I bought this mainly for the microphone. I have not used the headphones because I already had a pair. But the headphones will eventually make its way into the rotation. But this microphone is great. It allows me to sound very clear on Zoom calls and the boom allows for perfect placement. Must admit I feel like a real podcaster! People have commented on how good my voice comes through without any echoes or distortions., I think it is a useful addition to the online presence. No complaints.

I bought this as an Open Box item. Had the listing not indicated it as such I would have never known. It's the perfect mic for what I was looking for, which was to record my sax into GarageBand on my iPad. As a side note, you definitely want a genuine Apple lightning to USB camera adapter for a setup like this. I tried a 3rd party product and it flaked out, constantly re-connecting.

While I know USB mics might not be as great quality as XLR's, this USB mic has definitely upped the quality of my narration projects. Great sound quality, and the mic monitoring ability with the headphone jack is great. If you're starting out in the voice acting/narration business and don't have a ton of money for equipment, this is a fantastic middle ground between cheap microphones and high end expensive ones. Love this and would def purchase again.
