For the cost of the AT2020 you get a pretty good sound quality and a lot less handing noise compared to most real condensers. This is a back feed element.

Used for drum overheads. Placed one to the left, the other right and got a good stereo effect. And they'll record a loud source without spiking. For my application, it was perfect.

Good range, sturdy construction. However, the shock mount for this mic is $60 - higher in cost than some other brands'. Great Budget microphone, but you better use a Pop Filter.
