the microphone has splendid vocal effect and music details magnifying. Even very average headphone and earphone can perform great effect when monitoring the recording. Good for recording singing and lecturing, amazing for music producing.

This mic was easy to set up and sounded pretty good. It was an interesting experiment,but in the end we went back to using the Sennheiser MD 421 that we had been using for voice work. We'll find a use for the AT2020USB somewhere, because it is a good bang for the buck.

Pretty much zero background noise detection. No feedback. It doesn't catch you breathing, really. Overall, A- The mic I received had black spray paint splotches on it. Didn't affect the sound quality!
