I have been using this mic for a few weeks now and am really happy with it. The option to use usb or xlr is not often found in many mic especially hand held ones. Along with this I picked up a desk mounted arm and cheap shock mount. The mic is verry light and is held up fine even with a very cheap arm. The quality is excellent at any price range but blows away almost all competition at this price point. It is used as my everyday mic for both voip and live streaming. Side note for any youtubers or streamers out there looking for a good mice, don't waste your money on the go to mics. I had a blue yeti before this and it was good but I find this one works way better if you have any background noise. I have two kids in the house and unless they get really loud you can not hear them on stream or chat. If you are thinking of getting it, just buy it. It is well worth the money. ... More

I bought this microphone to use with my MacBook. I didn't know what to expect. I was pleased to find that this mic is solid and not light weight plastic. It has the same feel as my old Shure dynamic mic. I read where someone had broken the USB connector on their mic, but it must have been from careless handling. The volume control looks like a wheel, but it's actually a momentary switch with two directions, one way increase and the other way decrease. It came with both a USB cable and an XLR cable. It produces a nice tone , but as with all dynamic mics you can't whisper and expect it to pick up much. Speak up like you want to be heard and it will do the trick. I had to use a dongle to go from USB 2.0 to USB type C, but there was no problem getting it hooked up to the MacBook. Great price for a good microphone. I would buy again. ... More

I purchased this USB microphone for a professional PC-based videoconferencing application; I could see how it would be a good mic for podcasting and other recordings. After reading reviews online, I was persuaded it was worth the 60 dollars to give it a try. It was easy to install on my mac system, no CD required. The quality was excellent and achieved the desired result. It looks, feels, and performs like a professional cardioid microphone. You need to keep the mic mount, because it slightly larger thicker in diameter than a standard mic; the mic mount can get loose and cause the mic to droop down unless it is positioned more or less upright. The mini-stand that comes with it is sort of flimsy, but can serve a purpose. All in all a great value. ... More

I purchased two of these to host a podcast. Just for the record you can use two of these simultaneously unlike the Blue USB mics. I use a MacBook Pro and logic. The mic sounds excellent with either USB or XLR. They also look really nice. I haven't experienced any of the low volume issues that others have complained about. They have an excellent ability to attenuate off axis sounds which is great for my slightly noisy recording location. Last but not least B&H expidited free shipping to me. Great service. I am a fan of this company.

I've been podcasting since 2007 and my favorite microphone is quite uncommon (a forty-year-old Shure Unidyne 5485D (the one that Robert Plant used to use)). The sound is unbeatable! However, I have to say that the Audio-Technica AT2005USB is a close match. It gives you clear uncolored sound at a very reasonable price. And since it's USB it's also hum free. The construction is also great. However, there's something that I don't like. The headphone jack is practically useless. I connected my headphone and the audio level is so low that I can hardly hear myself. Otherwise this microphone is a slam dunk!!! ... More

I'm a teacher, and I've been making YouTube videos for my classes during remote learning. I went with this mic after watching some reviews and I've been very happy with it. It was easy to set up through USB, and I like that I'd be able to go XLR in the future. I chose a dynamic mic for background noise rejection in my noisy apartment and because I don't mind always being right up close to the mic. As a teacher doing remote lessons, the difference between good audio and bad audio in my videos is the same thing as the difference between speaking clearly versus mumbling in front of a live classroom. The comparisons I did between my computer's built-in mic versus this one were night and day. ... More

It is not cheap, like it appears in the photo, I have TWO now, one for me and one for my co broadcaster. I am ultimately happy with it, and recommend it if you need a dual purpose mic, I use the USB abd the XLR simultaneously, without issue or need of phantom power on the XLR which was why I wanted it to begin with. I needed to use it for both at the same time for my radio shows, and it has exceeded my expectations! I waited awhile for a review, to give it a good work over and it has not disappointed. ... More

A friend in the radio business recommends this mic for those in search of professional sounding audio on the cheep. After two weeks of use, it seems to deliver on that. I use it as a source for radio interviews via Skype, GoogleHangouts, etc. There was basically nothing to set up. I just plugged it in to my computer and it was available as an audio input. I don't use the mini stand that is included, but having cables and the mic clip included was a nice touch.

Rugged design and fairly good quality so far. I was impressed with the quality considering the low cost. The usb connection seems relatively fragile compared to the design of the mic and the xlr input. The sound is better than I than I expected - i have a large collection of mics - but bought this for a young child who is beginning to record music. The mount it comes with can be used with any stand - the desk stand is fine too - but limiting because you will want this mic relatively close to the subject.

This mic is perfect for pod casters. The quality of the mic is as good or better than some $500 mics I've heard. Mic clip, mic stand, USB cable, xlr cable and mic pouch all included is a bonus. You can hear yourself talk by plugging into the headphone jack located at the bottom of mic. This eliminates the need for a extra interface box. I have found nothing better for the price. I would recommend getting a windscreen. The mic has a really clear and warm tone and it is a little sensitive to the letter P.

Because of the pandemic I've had to move a lot of teaching online and wanted to make better quality content, including videos, for my students. Everything included was very easy to set up, with decent quality sound (if I wanted professional quality I would go with a different mic, but for my purposes this is great) . This is everything you need in one package. It's a great deal for someone just getting started or just wanting to add some basic equipment to their recording or online set up.

This microphone was reviewed on YouTube as being a great microphone for the value. I Googled it to find out who was selling it and found a link to B&H who had it on sale for $34. This turned out to be a huge savings as they normally sell it for $79. Not only was I pleased to find it for such a great price, but was very pleased with the quality of the microphone. I definitely would recommend it for all uses, bands and YouTubers alike. As always B&H is my go to place for quality and savings.

Im a little dissappointed at the frequency response of this mic. I mean its good, but when I compare it to my Blu snowball, it lacks a bit of low end. Also, the low latency headphone monitoring feature works, but I wish it was a touch louder during recording, it barely competes with your own inner voice if that makes any sense. For the price its a great little microphone and Im happy with it.

There are no issues on my end whatsoever. The audio quality is crisp and clear, the boom arm and attachments are easy to set up, and the headphones are comfortable. I'd definitely recommend betting this starter kit for anyone interested in starting a podcast. It even has both USB but XLR capability.

Have tested Zoom and MS Team calls using this mic vs my standard laptop internal built-in mic ... there's no comparison. I also tested with my kids screaming in the background - it blocks them out while keeping my voice clear. This is an excellent product. The price also makes it incredible value. Couldn't be happier with the result.

Great Mic, sounds great, works fine, but connector is a USB-MINI connector, not the more common USB-B/C/Micro. To run this with most USB mic boom arms (Thronmax for instance) you'll need an adapter. Neither the documentation nor the description specify what kind of USB it is...

I am starting a podcast, and I bought this in combination with a PreSonus podcasting bundle, and I am glad I did. Honestly, Audio Technica the mic quality is better than the PreSonus mic. The mic is so good, I don't even need a pop filter. The headphones are okay, but I prefer the M30x.

Overall, it's a pretty rock-solid pack. My only critique is the left channel on the headphone doesn't work. I guess at this reasonable a price point, there had to be a downside somewhere. Still, I'd rather there be an issue with the headphones than the mic.

Purchased this dynamic mic to use with Zoom. Been using the built-in laptop or that of a web cam, but those have had very inconsistent performance, especially when the environment is noisy. This mic has solved my problem.
