This Apogee One is a a high quality, portable break out box with a USB 2.0 interface. I am using it on the road for voice recording and love it. It does not take up a lot of space and it's easy to use. I recommend this to anyone who needs a portable, USB 2.0 break out box at a reasonable price.
It's decent, but has flaws

I was not expecting the best interface, but as a portable option it sounded good. The problems that I encountered were design flaws. The cables are bulky and the power is real testy when staying connected. Outside of that the latency is just a bit too slow which is more annoying than anything. I also experienced some tone loss (loss of low end and sounded thin) when I got it up and running.

I use the ONE for personal recording on my Macbook. It is perfect for me because I travel a good bit. It's built in mic is amazing! It is super portable so no matter where I am I can record new ideas.

Got this to use with my MacBook Pro to enhance my experience with Logic Pro. Got the update for Snow Leopard, and instantly I could hear a clarity change in the output. Ascetically pleasing. sleek compact interface. Just works out of the box.
