I just bought this mixer for a 4 piece rock band and all I can say is "wow". Set aside just how beautiful the mixer looks when you take it out of the box and you'll notice that the board is solid as a rock. Weighs about 20lbs and it feels like it could take a beating. I upgraded from a Yamaha board and the clarity and crispness that this board gives off is amazing. The sound is professional level and the layout is very easy to work with. For live shows and recording on the go this board can't be beat. ... More

I have a small, portable live sound rig that I use primarily for open mic folk / acoustic music sessions & performances. The musicians range from newbies to seasoned pros (we never know who's going to show up) so I needed something that was easy to operate on the fly & sounded really good. I had been muddling through for the past few years with a really poor excuse for a board (Beh***ger) until it completely imploded 2 weeks before a large community performance. I quickly researched several units and settled on the A&H for 2 reasons: 1) We needed room for at lease 14 mic inputs (hard to find) & 2) a pro Engineer recommended the brand. I settled on this unit (vs ZED22FX) as I figured I'd continue using my outboard FX.WOW! The sonic clarity of this board is amazing at this price range. Lots of manufacturers make claims about their boutique mic pre's and all the bells & whistles they've added to their board. What about just a clean, clear signal path? No one seems to talk about that! Well, the A&H wins hands-down. The controls are clearly laid out and the faders are a joy to operate: smooth, accurate & the 100mm range is a nice feature. The inputs are well laid out making it easy to see what's plugged where at a glance, and the routing capabilities in the ZED are second-to-none. I was able to configure the layout to exactly meet our needs, NOT the other way around! There's plenty of headroom for live sound, and with the recording out's on the board I was able to 2-track the entire performance onto a portable recorder (Marantz PMD660) in a set-it-and-forget-it approach. This board was a terrific investment and I expect it to last for a lifetime. The build quality is very good as compared to the bargain brands. Although this is still made in China (so much for the classic British EQ sound...) the A&H folks seem to have chosen quality sub's to assemble the product. As always, B&H was the perfect place to shop. When an item is listed as in stock then I know for sure that it really is available. Shipping is always quick (basic free ground shipping reaches me in northern New England in just 1 day). Great prices & outstanding service have made B&H my 1st choice for all my gear needs. Thanks! ... More

I've used Allen & Heath's in venues for years and wanted to purchase one of my own to get things going with my entrepreneurship. With limited money, I picked this one and I love it. Still trying to figure out the USB capabilities and subtle differences between boards, but I enjoy the sound that emerges from this lovely thing. If you know how to use it, it can be a dangerous force. So far the signal into Logic Express isn't bad; can be a bit low at times, but I put a gain plugin on it and it does nicely. I'm also using this to build skills in mixing down live shows for stereo to use in/over videos. Allen & Heath's EQs sound marvelous. ... More

We haven't had the new mixer too long however, so far it's lived up to its reputation. The sound is clear and crisp and makes our old mixer sound like mud. I'm still trying to figure out how to use the usb to send sound to the computer but I hope to accomplish this in the near future. I would recommed this mixer to anyone without reservation.

I purchased an A&H ZED 24 to replace an ART mixer that was showing its age. The difference in sound quality was obvious as soon as we powered up the ZED 24. Tremendous headroom in the inputs, very clean, excellent EQ and with 16 inserts we have the ability to add plenty of outboard effects or feed individual channels to a multi-track DAW using the "insert as Direct-out" trick. The USB capability is a nice feature but is limited to feeding only the two main channels of the mix. But this is a great tool for a quick way to record practices and live performances. It gives you the opportunity to easily hear what the audience will hear. Great product. Glad I bought it. It meets or exceeds all of our expectations. ... More

Purchased this mixer for my church sound system to replace ancient 16-channel board. This mixer has all the capabilities needed for simple-to-moderately sophisticated uses. Plenty of Aux bus capacity (2 are pre-fade, 2 are post-fade). Several record output options to suit every need. Phantom power is a must and it has it. USB input/output is a nice feature for interface with a PC, and the link to download a nicely designed audio editing program is the icing on the cake!

This board is a important part of our Service on Sunday's Service because it is used to control the sound for our church services every sunday. Nice and crisp high's as well as deep low's pertrude from our speakers and the keyboard sounds great through it. This soundboard is AMAZING!

I replaced a lightning damaged Behringer board with this one, and am so glad I did! The ZED24 is very quiet, has truly balanced outputs, USB to a computer, 100mm faders are nice too. The only thing I wish it had was master volumes for aux sends 3 and 4.

You cannot really go wrong with the ZED line. What awesome mixers! You get a great analog sound out of these. The USB system is just icing on the cake, good for recording shows. (For studio recording you would probably feed an interface that doesn't have preamps but has much better converters like an Echo Audiofire 12.) Allen & Heath rocks!

I have owned 2 of these and they are really great dependable mixers that offer most bands the flexibility they need. USB for recording, plenty of channels and many ways to connect to your other sound gear.

All I can say...don't use this in your home studio as a line mixer. The amount of noise this board produced was rediculous. I sold it after 5 months. Good riddance.
