Ok lets start, Good price,delivered on time from GC.Simple to use and like input for Iphone for my drumbeats and backing tracks. Down side is the Stienburg software. The main program, plan to take up to 5 hrs to download but loaded fine. The main problem was the "eLicenser" (excuse spelling}. If you do not have the this flashdrive you need to do a "Soft eLicenser" They tell you about it but no link on info page. Had to go to another Guitar store after a search to find link. After that program started. Now learning to use program. Looking for a step by step manual, not able to follow instructions clear enough that I have foumd so far. I bought this mixer for one of my students that is learning the art of voice acting. The requirements for this type of work require professional equipment. This little mixer/audio interface has such clean pre amps that when combined with the Shure SM 58, it simply can't be beat! In a untreated room, with the input set between a -12 and -18dbs, the noise floor is around a -68 to -75dbs. I have owned at least 6 or 7 of these little mixers and have yet to be disappointed!

To start, for basic needs, you can't beat the price of this board. The sound and effects are great. If you need something basic to hook a mic up to a PC, such as basic podcasting or perhaps video commentary, this may be a good option. Beyond that, there are serious limitations. The Auxiliary/USB input back to the board only routes to the main channel. This is unlike the Multimix 8+, which allow you to receive USB input to the monitor channel. As a result, if you are planning to do any multitrack recording, you will not be able to use this board as your track monitor. For my own ear, the lack of a midrange EQ is also difficult to swallow. I know this is a budget board, but if you have a tuned ear, you will likely not be able to get a sound you're pleased with, especially for vocals. ... More

Bad to the bone for my needs. I looked at "all" the small mixers with effects in store and it was a tough choice. Came down to the USB out that it has. Its both a mixer and an audio interface...for less money! The effects sound great, and there are plenty of great choices. If you only need three inputs in a small mixer with effects. This seems like the one..... Bonus add a computer and you have a recording interface.

Having a small mixer added a lot of flexibility to my home studio. The high pass filters and guitar/line mode options are quite helpful. Would be nice if it sent all 4 inputs through USB, but it sends stereo. You can use the pan controls to get two independent concurrent mono channels as input, which is still quite helpful. Don't forget to go to Control Panel /Sound / Recording and check the properties to be sure Windows is accepting stereo from the mixer. The USB Audio Codec driver defaulted this device to mono for me at first. Supports 16bit but not 24bit recording. 16 is enough for me. ... More

I contacted GC with "Hey GC, I was given an Alesis Multimix 4 USBFX as a gift at Christmas. A month ago (which was May 1st), I opened it up for the very first time and upon opening it, it would never turn on. The guy who gave me gift, gave me the receipt (with the price redacted). SO, I have a receipt which included a 24 month ADH replacement Plan. Do I take it to the store? I would appreciate any help. GC told me to get a Return Authorization Number. Which I did. But now will not reply to my emails which include: I have received a RMA from ALESIS. When I receive the shipping label from you, I will send the product to Alesis. But no one answers my calls or emails.....at least so far. Maybe my experience with the Customer Service Center is unique, but what is up? ... More
Perfect for hybrid Zoom meetings

Purchased this to connect to a PA system for setting up a hybrid Zoom meeting and it worked perfectly. The computer interface is automatically seen by the Zoom software as both speaker and microphone. This allows me to connect the room microphones to the people on Zoom while simultaneously outputting their voices to the mix before sending to the amplifier. No problems with feedback. Very solid unit. Well engineered with easy to use controls. Good mix of input and output jacks. Have had zero problems with it. Highly recommended.

Works great to play guitar and sing into my computer via USB, and to be able to add good reverb and control EQ and panning on the way in. I've been using Windows Camera app to record video through my web cam and audio through this unit, it's a simple and easy way to make good videos to post online. Just know that if you want to use this to add tracks in a digital audio workstation environment, that you can't send the DAW output back through this unit via USB to monitor the signal as effected by the DAW/plugins.
I would use buy this again or maybe a 6 or 8 input unit.

I use it with an Aesis SR18 with a couple of friends in my music room and it's a perfect fit. Good quality and easy to use and great sound.

Comes with instructions for using with Pro Tools First as a DAW. The mixer itself is fine, works as promised. I'm an experienced Pro Tools 12 user--I found PT First to be thoroughly confusing and awkward to use. Bottom line is that the mixer works as advertised, but I'd be prepared to use a different DAW.
Works good plus has independent channel effects controls.

I think it is very nice mixer and the sound is quite crisp and it isn't my favorite for vocals but it does very good and so do the effects but I think it works very nice for some pianos and the extra effects can be very useful and I hope someday in firewire but USB for now it 'tis be.

Finally found something to replace using the mic/line in and headphone out of my legacy laptop with just USB and it's perfect. I run my bass guitar and stereo vocal effects along with midi or YouTube videos on my pc seamlessly to jam with. Alesis has always made great stuff, this one for sure.

I use the mixer between a PA system in a meeting room and my computer so I can feed the PA sound to the zoom meeting.
