I previously had a pair of the K44 and K99 headphones from AKG....they were both top-notch....I just recently got a pair of these in Davenport, Iowa.....I un them thru a Creative Labs X-Fi HD, as well as the iNano DSD DAC....they sound wicked good, with either. The Breakaway Live audio processor, is also able to drive these to the max....and I'm not the least bit disappointed. You're getting some serious bang for your buck, with these. Totally comfortable on the ears....the sound is crystal clear. Two BIG thumbs up!

Great sound separation and definition. Does a good job at eliminating external sound sources. Handles a broad range of frequencies well.

These are meant to have a flat sound for mixing purposes. If you're looking for something to listen to music through on a casual level, these aren't for you.

Expectations consistent with price-point. Nice knock-about to have by amps for guitar practice, but nothing AKG-studio worthy. At around $25, you cannot go too wrong, but you can't expect a whole lot either.

I have had a pair of AKG 240's for a long time, and for the price they are amazing(after break in). So, when I needed a pair of cheap closed backs I decided to give these a try. These have the sound quality of those old headphones we used to wear with our portable CD players. Actually, it's possible these may be worst. Anyone who says these sound decent have never heard decent headphones before. These aren't worth the plastic they are made of. Don't waste your money on them.

I'd say there are better headphones out there for the 49.99 price range. The dound quality is about half as good as my sony 7506 headphones. Tese are too big for my head and you can't adjust any smalller and I have an average size head. Buy if they are on sale but make sure they feel good on your head first.

I bought these for my podcast and they worked perfectly and for the price, I was wary at first, but these headphones deliver a great sound. And are extremely lightweight to the point it's easy to forget you have them on. The build is nice and sturdy although I wish the cord / cable was slightly longer.

Use these for listening to music, audiobooks, web content, etc. on phone/computer. Perfect for what I wanted. Fit OVER the ear entirely, which is the main reason I needed them. No more aching ears from headphones pressing on earlobes. Sound is just fine. Cord is long and secure. Excellent purchase and great value for the money.

Good sound that feels like the background is very quiet. I use them to watch movies on PC w/ 5.1 sound. The voices all seem to come from the person who is speaking with no muddy mixing. I guess the best thing abut the sound, is that I do not notice the headphones doing anything to alter things. No gimmicks, just clean without introducing noise.

Listening to youtube Jazz background tracks while practicing my flute and sax. I have to correct a previous comment that the only downside to the AKGvK 52's is the plug was too short to work on my phone. That was incorrect. It absolutely does work in the phone once the phone case is removed.

I really wanted to like these. As some of the other reviewers stated, the sound goes in and out depending on how you move the cord due to the plug. You would think a part that is supposed to be constantly plugged in and removed would be durable. I tried it also on my iPad, same thing, the plug is very sensitive. You should be able to plug in and not worry about it.

Pretty good for the on sale price. Bought it for my 7 yo drummer. He loves it and having it over the ear it doesn't feel uncomfortable after a few songs of playing drums. It holds and don't slip on his head. No uncomfortable ear burns . Good for kids.

My wife uses this each night to watch to watch netflix on her computer. After 2 months of use the right side stopped working. This is from normal use. DO NOT BUY AKG headphones. Not very good durability with normal use.

These are great. I got them on sale, so for the money, they're really amazing. I'd give them 5 stars, but they're a little too big on me (I have a surprisingly small head). They adjust well and are very comfortable for a range of other people. Overall, great headphones.

I bought this to plug into my Yamaha guitar amp. 1/4" jack is all messed up. Amp and headphones are new. I hate buying new gear and its broke from the factory...

I really like how they automatically adjust to fit your head and that they don't fit so tight like some of the others I've had. I use them mostly for practice on keyboards and listening to playback on the computer. They also sound great just listening to music in general. Sharp, clear, nice.

I use to listen through my computer to YouTube for example. I listen to my audiophile stereo system. I listen to background tracks as I practice flute and saxophone. It delivers a good sound. The only drawback I see so far is that the jack is not quite long enough to use in my cell phone.
