This item was purchased for my son (home studio) who was tired of wearing out cheapie headphones from a department store. Haven't tried them a long time, but the sound is great and they seem very well constructed. Price was good.

Wonderful headphones, consider these as best I have used. Very comfortable to wear for long periods, clean crisp tone and sound. I've paid much more and got less than the K240's deliver. I bought these from our friends at BH on a daily deal special, made a hell of a deal for myself! Thanks B&H. 100% recommended. Just buy these and enjoy.

These headphones are amazing, especially for the price. The sound is crisp, clear and the bass is perfect for mixing, not too overpowering but not too weak. I use these in my home studio with Logic X for extended hours, they are lightweight, durable and come at a great price. Definitely a must have.

I am using them to plug in Mustang LT combo when playing guitar. Sound is very precise and clean. They are pretty lightweight, could wear them for hours, no discomfort at all. Long cord allows to move around the room. Definitely recommend to those who are looking for a low cost though high quality product.

Very flat frequency response which is great for editing audio or listening music in it's original state. They sound even better if you add Sonarworks Reference 4 as a calibration. Then sound is absolutely fantastic. The only thing I did not like is earpads, I replaced them with softer ones and made of velour.

The AKG K240 Studio headset has a very balanced and precise sound throughout the frequency range. The bass is powerful and the treble is crystalline. I listen to music of various kinds, from Opera to Rock and I really like the rendering of details that K240 can give. It's really fantastic.

I purchased these to practice at home. Bass player in a band and really didn't think about the open concept of the earpieces, but make sense not want to blow out my eardrums. They have a really good sound. Range of frequencies is very good. I am use to headphones that block all outside noise but I am getting use to them. B&H ordering and delivery was excellent.

I have been using K-240s for about 20 years in my studio. Everyone likes the smooth, natural and neutral sound quality they provide. Their light weight makes them comfortable throughout long tracking sessions. At this price, I don't worry about them taking a beating. My original pair was made in Austria but they are now made in China.

Most headphones that I have tried give me a pain in the ear after 30 minutes. These headphones are very comfortable due to the strap that sits on top of your head. It is spring loaded and acts like a shock absorber, distributing the weight across the top of your head nicely. The frequency response it great in all ranges.

For most musicians, online streaming is the new normal. Semi-open headphones allow us to hear the click track and for us singers, it is ultra important not to fall prey to pitch! NOTE: Detachable cord makes swapping guitars a cinch!!!

I bought these headphones to listen to music while on my computer or sitting around. It was a great investment. The earpieces are large round and over the ear. I use these while watching movies on my xbox one through the wireless controller. They are a good range as far as I can tell. Things to Note: -They fit loose on head -Wire is connected on one side -Long 6 ft cord

Just got these and I immediately noticed a difference. Great sound without the overbearing base that other headphones typically have. Also, the comfort that these headphones bring for the price can not be beaten.

They are very amazing don't get me wrong. The only personal preference i didn't like was the leather ear parts. So i just went to @ and bough some fabric ones for cheep and i am in love with these headphones.

These are considered the studio standard in circumaural open back headphones for good reason. The sound reproduction is excellent, with clear bass and midrange and a very balanced profile through the entire frequency spectrum. It makes me angry at how much I've spent on speakers and studio monitors, these do a better job at a fraction of the price.

I have been using the AKG K240 phones for 20+ years. This is my third set. They have always given me a fairly accurate representation of sound for getting a reference mix - the newest ones are no exception. Lightweight, comfortable in long sessions, and now with detachable (read: easily replaced) cable - these are my favorites!

This is my second pair of AKG 240's. The first pair had the cable direct into the headphones and after about a year it crapped out on me. I bought a second pair with the cable detachable. I bought that pair in 11/19 and the cable has again crapped, out. I love the headphones themselves but the cables are cheap and junk!
