I purchased the AKG K240 Studio Headphones after seeing them on several Top Ten lists for Guitar Amp headphones, as well as the 4+ star reviews on Guitar Center, where I purchased them for an amazing $65. They sound great and serve their purpose, which was for practicing at home. I would recommend them. My only negative is the headband isn't as easily adjustable as other on-ear headphones I've owned. It could just be personal preference, but they require a little more effort than I would expect.

I really like these headphones. The sound they prodice is great, and seems to have a wide range. The headphones cover the ears, and they are comfortable. Music sounds gread from my iPhone played throught these headphones. My only concern is that the adjustment to fit over your head, doesn't seem to go any smaller than where they are at right now. So for me, they tend to fit a little loose. I will say that the sound reproduction through these headphones is far better than what I get out of my ear buds. I feel these Headphones were a great value for the price. ... More

These are my very favorite headphones, and I'm not just saying that because I was asked to write a review. These headphones were top of the line studio headphones for years. If you watch videos of producers in studio, they're likely to be wearing a pair. They have a very nice distribution of sound that is very open and relaxed. You don't feel like sound is being jammed into your ears. The mix of bass and highs is very even. If you like heavy heavy bass, these won't be what you're looking for. Overall, I've never been happier with a set of headphones. ... More

These are very comfortable headsets. Although they seemed a bit loose, I realize now they're designed that way to allow you to adjust them around your ears. As you move them, they will stay where they are put. They do tend to allow more background noise in than I would prefer, but I'll gladly accept that due to their comfort.

These were my first purchase toward building my own VO recording studio in my apartment and I love them. I don't yet have all the equipment I need for recording so for now, I use them for listening to music but they're great. I'm just getting started in VO work so these have been recommended for real-time monitoring by an instructor. I'll probably upgrade at some point to an even better pair but by far the nicest set I've ever personally owned.

So far, I'm loving these headphones. I bought them for an on location recording project that also required some basic mixing. Normally when I work through headphones things sound way different when I can finally get to my studio and use monitors. The mixes that I did through these sounded closer to finished when I got home.

For the price, not bad. Great for general use, decent enough for home studio, but wouldn't recommend for pros. The build quality is surprisingly solid. The auto adjust fits snugly and the around-ear cushions are super comfortable. It comes with a 1/4 adapter, which screws securely into place. As far as actual audio quality, they are a bit quiet and lack bass. I have a hard time hearing myself during recording, but audio playback comes through just fine.

I use the K240's as monitors during live performances and even practice. they don't isolate you from anything important being partial open back, and give you what you need in your ear at the same time, and are comfortable to wear for long periods of time. So far I have no complaints about this product at all

I own a pair of k240 600ohm headphones that I bought decades ago. They are perfect but I needed a pair to use on a MOX F8 keyboard so I wanted a 55 ohm set. These finally arrived after a mind numbingly long adventure with the useless FedEx shipping. Well... they sound good and are louder on the keyboard than the 600 ohm BUT, these are made in China. My old set was made in Austria. I really don't expect these to last decades like the old pair have. It's sad but it's true.

I use these for home studio recording mainly. After years of using cheap headphones and my music either not translating to speakers, or my neighbors complaining about the bass coming through the floor, I finally decided to do my research and drop a few hundred dollars on some flat phones with good response. These were a little unbelievable at the price but I gave them a try and they're great. My wallet is happy too.

i bought this headphone when it was on dealzone for half the original price. I have been using it for the past 3 weeks. The sound quality is amazing. Semi-open design makes it perfect for mixing, as it's not too tight and uncomfortable on your ears. Of course, semi-open models can't be used in the vocal booth, as the mic could pick up some audio from the headphone as well. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the headphone!

Unless there was something wrong with the pair I had, I'd have to say this model is pretty low quality. I was very surprised based on the reviews. They sound slightly scooped and muffled, really what you'd expect a $20 pair to sound like. I do understand that these are studio headphones designed for music production which is how I'm using them (to monitor a guitar amp and also a live sound mixer). I also have the Sony MDR-7506 which are much much better.

The K 240 Studio is a long-time studio standard!. Its advanced Varimotion transducers provide wide range, detail, and much higher sensitivity than comparably priced headphones!. The semi-open design delivers rock-solid low end and accurate imaging!.

Headphones that were industry standard for many years back in the old school days. Great feel, very comfortable, very good sound out of them can even be heard from close distance by another person not wearing them. Highly recommended it's about $70 before tax probably should get the insurance on these as well ($13) for 2 years. Quality and sound check. Awesome and well worth it.

The AKG K 240 headphones get a good sound, although they tend towards equalizing the sounds (ie. less clarity). The only real complaint I have with them is that there's a lot of wires and chords on the sides of the earpieces. It's only a problem if you're playing an instrument that's held close to your face (ex. cello). The wires and chords on the side of the earpiece will get in the way.

Not a bad product for the price, will get the job done. Honestly not too crazy about them they seem to be a little harsh on my ears with the high-end, has a nice bass response, and they are a little big. But they are very detailed and clear.

Awesome sounding open backed studio headphones. Super light and easy to wear for long periods of time. I purchased a pair recently based on my fathers experience (professional recording artist) who has been using them for almost 4 years. They hold up extremely well.
