Has excellent pick up. Great for beginning voice over talent. Seems to go the distance. Was a nice package deal.

Read title, the only exception is if you do spoken word. For some reason this microphone is awesome for just the speaking voice. Peace, Karl

This mic is way over priced. For the poor quality it should be priced at $50-$80. This mic is decent when you speak but for singing, you get a muffled sound. DO NOT BUY THIS MIC unless they happen to drop it to $50.

I have used this mic on the road for a good two months and it was okay. We had it on guitars. It is another creature compared to say the KSM32, or AT2500. Yet, some nights you roll in to a venue that has issues with snakes, cables and consoles. I am over the 'got to have the large diaphragm condenser' for guits and drums. Sure in a controlled environment that's perfect. Live, I need something that is reasonably priced and durable. For the price of one C214 you can get two Heil PR 30's. That's my two cents.
