After reading reviews and doing my own research, I opted to buy this product. It is fabulous. Gives a lovely clear, crisp sound and looks the business too! I have mounted mine on a scissor arm (which I also purchase from Argos!) as opposed to using the stand supplied. Love this microphone!

Firstly, the microphone is just amazing. The quality is mind blowing. The dial at the bottom of the microphone is very useful changing the sensitivity how much is picked up. The ability to touch the microphone to mute it is one of it's best features and the red and black design with the illuminating red is the best. There are multiple pickup selections the microphone provides which suits it to different kinds of needs like ASMR and podcasts which eliminates any reason not to get it. ... More

I got this mic after having a similar model from a different brand for over 5 years. I was drawn to it because of the RGB lighting. I stream an like having pretty, decorative pieces in my setup. The sound quality is amazing, very crisp and professional sounding. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who streams or needs a professional mic that is also good looking.

This mic can be TRUSTed. Comes with a variety of recording patterns, I love the stereo and cardioid patterns (or getting a pseudo hyper on controlled sets) when I do go live. It boosts my lows when closer to it and bounces some more effects to a crystal clarity radio voice tempo. Running in these patterns I noticed it avoids the background noise especially on PC (when Windows tempts to elevate the microphone pick-up automatically). If you are on your way towards vlogging or yet there, go for it. ... More

Overall: 8.5/10 Great Microphone. clear and great for spoken voice. Mids and High frequencies are shown more than deep voices but if you add EQ then you can fix that- can't be done in the wavelink app it comes with. Mac software needs at least 10.14 (Mojave) to run so be aware. I had to update to be able to use. On my PC i had USB resource issues but thats more because I have a lot of tech plugged in. I would suggest buying the shock mount before the pop filer as it helps more overall ... More

The Elgato Wave 3 is a very nice design. Easy to set up and get going. User friendly software to adjust your mic/headphone levels. Discord picks up my voice a lot better than the cheaper microphone I previously had. Although the description says USB C that's the mic connection, the PC connection is USB A. The mute button on the top is excellent - a light tap rather than a clunky button. It also remembers it's muted when you turn your PC back on. Easy to change mounts too. ... More

I have another review that I wrote about this mic, but B&H's website doesn't appear to let me update that review. I've now been using this mic almost daily for over a year. The audio is crisp and clear, background noise is kept to a minimum, and people on the other end of the meeting/phone call give compliments on the detail that this mic captures. I used to use a condenser mic, but that also had the annoying feature of picking up a lot of 60Hz hum. This mic doesn't do that and I didn't have to make any adjustments to the room either. For the person who mentioned they couldn't fit it in a shockmount, it has one internally. That is why the mic is the size that it is. For those complaining about the USB port, mine hasn't had any issues. I accidentally bent the micro usb connector on the cheap cable they shipped with it and the mic survived just fine. The cable, on the other hand, was useless after that. I solved this problem by finding a 90 degree USB adapter so that the connector isn't pointing straight out the back of the mic. It now sits mostly flush and swiveling the mic is more likely to cause the adapter to disconnect at the other end. If your laptop, like mine, is usb-c only, don't try to buy long usb-c to usb-c cables. They are crazy expensive. Instead, try to buy a usb-c to mini or micro usb-b cable. They are much cheaper. My setup is usb-c to micro usb (10 feet), then an adapter from micro-usb to usb-c (1 inch), and then finally a short usb-c to 90 degree micro-usb adapter (6 inches). ... More

First of all, the quality! The QUALITY IS OFF THE HOOK! (Sorry people that I was screaming at this review section). I say the quality because I'm from using Rode Video Shotgun Pro mic on my Canon 80D, so seeing this Shure MV7 mic for the first time, I was stunned by the quality has been built out of it! It almost feels like the first time I saw Dolce and Gabbana brown leather jacket with gold plate on the left chest! (Note that I used the word saw, NOT bought. It was too expensive and the quality is... ) Back to the review! Second was quality! (Seriously? Quality again?) I meant the voice quality. It so crisp that I want to listen to my voice over and over and over (I don't have great sexy voice but I just have normal Asian voice with excitement). The touch control was another part that so good to use. The touch sensor is pretty good (I think the best one is iPhone so if iPhone touch sensor is 10, this mic is 7.5). The last but not the least, the setup. It's so easy. It's getting the power source from the connection (I used USB-C on my MacBook Pro). All cables are included which is another bonus for me. So all you gotta do is plug in. PS. Those of you who are going to use tripod at your home, recommend to get thread adapter that sells in B&H unless you get your own mic stand. I bought Auray TT-6220 Telescoping Tabletop Microphone Stand (Black) here. But when I wanted to use on my small tripod, I needed it. Hope this review helps you to make purchasing decision. I've been recording covers for quite a few years now and I've tried many products, but this guy really surprised me in many ways. The Samson Go Mic came around a week ago, and first of all, this thing is small, very small. It's very easy to set up, just plug and go, worked on pretty much all platform. The mic has a built in clip that can clip on to your mic stand, and it clips on pretty much anything...The recording is very clear, just the way that you would want your recording to sound. There is a direct output from the mic itself with absolutely no delay, so you get to listen to how yourself sound like first handed. But the recorded result does not sound like what comes out from that output. An other thing is, the mic cannot handle sound that is too loud, if you want to record heavy metal, this is not the mic for you. Overall, this mic is absolutely great, especially for its low price. I know many people prefer the Snowball mic over the Go mic when it comes to USB recording, but the Go mic is much more easy to bring around to places and I personally prefer the Go mic's result than the Snowball USB mic. ... I recently purchased this thanks mainly to the reviews on here and the real-world examples of its use posted on YouTube. I have been toying with the idea of adding vocals to my tracks for a while and this decision was finally sealed by an online contest that supplied only the lyrics to which I have to record vocals. Really, the mic is awesome for its size and price point and I love the fact it has three different settings (cardioid, omni, -10dB); I also purchased a pop filter to avoid those plosive bees and pees when using the -10 setting. I have done several sound tests and the vocals sound like they were recorded in a studio. Considering it's small size and supplied carry case it's a perfect portable recording solution. Although the pop filter is big (6 inches) it actually doubled as a handy mic stand right out of the package though clearly reduces the portability factor. As others have said, you have to pay attention to your settings and ensure that the Go Mic is set as your input device when you're recording... this took me a little while to figure out in FL Studio but I got there in the end. ... After over 35 years in radio broadcasting, I just simi-retired and was looking for a good USB mic that I could use on the road with my lap top when I went out of town. Although I no longer do a daily radio show, I still record commercials and weather forecasts, etc. from home on a part time basis. For that I use a Shure SM7B broadcast XLR mic on my desktop computer and transfer them to on the air with a special program. But I occasionally go out of town so I needed a good USB mic that I could use with my lap top for recording. After reading many reviews I decided to go with the Rode NT-USB and it has exceeded my expectations. I wasn't sure if this would be good enough for broadcast radio,, but this mic does the trick and really sounds good. Not as deep a presence for vocals as the Shure, it is nonetheless very bright sounding, clear, and is good enough for what I do on broadcast radio for out of town. If you do voice overs for Youtube videos (like I also do), this mic is perfect Be sure to order the OURAY Desktop Reflection Filter mic stand along with the Rode mic, it helps a lot with deadening room noise and gives a better all around sound presence. I was delighted with the mic until I tried using it with Camtasia for recording. The USB signal connected, disconnected, connected... The input selector was unstable, there was a click-click in the headphone when I raised the volume control, there was no system audio, and video playback was messed up. After testing the Rode NT-USB with Camtasia on two different computers, installing different video cards (I almost bought another one), I finally figured out what was causing all the problems with the NT-USB with Camtasia. In one test on a third computer I pulled an old (thick, very well shielded, shorter) USB cable out of my box of spare computer parts (like we all have). The Rode mic performed PERFECTLY on computer #3! Around 3 in the morning, I started thinking... could it be the CABLE??? That morning I connected the spare cable I had used in the third test to the original computer.... and all the problems went away. The repeated "bebop, bebeep" USB connection sounds, the issue with Camtasia, the volume indicator that indicted steady sound when there was none ... all gone. System audio plays back and videos run normally. It works PERFECTLY! No need to return to B&H, no need to replace as defective, no need for a new video card, no need for new video drivers or reinstall Camtasia. Just replace the poorly insulted Rode USB cable with a better insulated (shorter) USB cable. The cable is too long, too think and apparently poorly insulated, so I also recommend NOT coiling it up to get rid of the extra length. I learned that in my experiments as well. That's where the "click click" in the headphones came from: simple crosstalk feedback between signal out and signal in. Bottom line: EXCELLENT microphone, excellent Studio Package Kit, PERFECT for working with Camtasia. The attached image illustrates how you know there is crosstalk: full meter indication with no sound input. That's how you know when there's a crosstalk issue. ... More

This is my 4th mic I've used while doing my podcast. The Rode NT-USB is by far the best I've ever used. The Blue Yeti was too sensitive, the Blue Spark garbled my voice, and the Samson Meteor Mic required too much software to function properly. The Rode was good right out of the box and did not require tinkering to make it "better". The included pop filter is worth it's weight in gold. The other thing that makes this great is it uses a standard USB/USB2 cord, so they are easily picked up if you need an extra. Listen to people on YouTube and SoundCloud compare audio clips using Rode and the other three mice I mentioned and see if you do not agree. Suoer impressed! ... More

It mic was perfect for the music project that I have been working on. I needed a mic that simple to set up, easy to adjust, and very user friendly (I am not a great singer, so I just needed something that can make me sound half decent at a good price). The price is very affordable for the quality that you will receive. The fact that it comes with a pop filter was awesome too (really makes a difference). And having it as simple as a plug into a USB port was extremely convenient. My Mac recognized it as what it is immediately (just have to adjust the mic input and output if needed; very simple).
