Great Headphones
I read the other reviews about how good this was relative to much higher priced headpohones, which I had. Now I wear these exclusively, and a friend who is serious music told me the next version up was considered the studio headphone of choice. The sound is unbelievably clear and accurate.

Solid All Around
I use these everyday. They are super comfortable and i forget that i have them on at times. The only thing i see that can be improved is the headband doesn't stay clicked on the number notches all the time, causing the need to readjust them when putting them on for the first time again

Great sound
They sound wonderful, especially for Classical Music. The coiled cord isn't as annoying as I though it would be. After listening for an hour or so, the ear pads make the area around my ears a little sweaty. This is a minor nuisance for great sound. Otherwise they are very comfortable.

Surprisingly effective
This headsett initially sounds a bit harsh, but after a short while reveals itself to be a very capable headsett considering the price. It has none of the hyped response curves usually found in a similar price range, and the spiral cable is paramount for pro- as well as personal use.

CLASSIC!
I use the V6's mostly for setting audio levels in the field and for editing video back at home. Amazing clarity and sound quality. There's a reason these headphones have essentially stayed the same since they came out in the 80's. And for under $$ you cannot find a better headphone!

Good value headphones
I am in charge of purchasing equipment for a film program and these headphones are quite good for the price. The amount of abuse they take from all of our students is impressive. They do fall apart after some time, but if you take good care of them, they will last quite a long time.

Sony MDR-V6 Studio Headphones
After owning a pair of these for over 20 years, it was time to order a new pair. I stepped on them and broke one of the ear pieces. However, It was time anyway. The new ones sound amazing. Even better then the old set. One of the best Headphones for your studio or everyday music.

Outstanding Headphones
I got these for my wife to listen to her music. I did alot of research to make sure I was getting something that was sturdy and had good frequency range. They sound amazing, and are incredibly conforable. I will definately be getting a second pair for myself to use for mixing.

Good Quality
Use these for Location Sound Recording. Very comfortable on your ears - you can barely notice them. Wish they blocked out a little more sound, but overall still pretty good. Everything sounds full and clear. Comes with a little pouch and can be folded up for easier transport.

As good as I remember
On on my third pair of these beauties and can't find anything remotely close on quality for this price. The pads will wear out and flake in about 1 year but you can get velvet replacement pads that fare much better. I have a pair of these anywhere I am, home, office, etc.

Still The Best
I used Sony MDR-V6 headphones for 10+ years as a radio personality. When I launched my podcast, I knew I wanted some great headphones. I tried just about everything I could get my ears on and came right back to the MDR-V6's. Clean, solid, sound and always comfortable.

Nice workhorse headphones
I use these mainly for monitoring sound during video recording. They work great for me in that regard, sounding fine in almost every situation. For music recording I do prefer a different set of phones, but at this price it's hard to find a better workhorse than this.

Perfect for the price!
I'm 100% happy with these headphones so far, and it look like they are built to last a while! They are comfortable, the sound isolation is perfect for work environment and the cord seems to be quite resistant. And the sound quality is quite perfect for the price!

Solid, solid phones
I use these headphones for everyday use as well as light video/audio editing. I was quite impressed by the sound quality, there didn't seem to be much distortion. Other people have complained about the tight fit, but it only bothered me for about the first day.

MDR-V6 Headphones
I use these headphones for personal use like listening to music and also monitoring mixes and recording. These are great headphones. These are a favorite of some of the old-school media guys I know. They are so comfortable and they sound great. Wonderful value.

wonderful sound
use for listening to music and for amateur home music recording. great tone and volume. my ears get a little hot, but I'm not sure how to not have that happen. I'm not sure how much better headphones can get by spending more... these seem to be pretty amazing.

I would buy this product again !!
The sounds is so clear, and seems so natural. The output is also very well balanced to my ear (no required to make any adjustment to either the bass, treble or mid range of the player). I am so glad it works better than than my old MDR-V1, which is also great.

Beautiful Sound
I love these headphones. My dad is a audiophile and he recommended them to me to replace the old Sony MDR-V600 which I unfortunately broke. The sound is amazing, especially for the price. Also, they are comfortable even when I wear them all day while working.

A Classic for a reason.
Best all around headphone you can buy, especially for the price.. Theres a reason sony has kept this studio headphone around for over more than a decade and thats because it works!! Forget the Gimmicks of todays marketing, go with the old of tried and true.

Meet Expectation
Must be my own aging ears' problem. I couldn't tell too much difference between this and my $26 Sennheiser HD202. Before purchasing this I suspect the HD202 bass emphasized. After comparison, this one doesn't add too much details on low frenquency to me.

10/10
My main tracking and editing headphones! Theres a reason these are studio standard, Id give it 10 stars if that were an option. Super detailed in the upper frequencys to help you hear everything while maintaining a controlled mid range and a full low end

High quality, Comfortable, Sound Great!
Great Sounding Comfortable Headphones!! They are very sturdy and well made. It is impressive how much surrounding sound they cut out! Very Clear full range sound spectrum! Over all I am very impressed with these and would definitely purchase them again.

Great sound!
These headphones are wonderful and offer crisp clear sound. They are just as good as any noise cancelling headphones, since they fit around the ear and drown out outside noise during use. The only draw-back, is that they are a little heavy on the ears.
