Just Get it!
I studied cameras side by side for months! This camera compares the same if not better than cameras twice it's price! I won't bore you with the details and list every feature and benefit but my advice is to just compare this with others in it's class and it will win every time!!

Alpha a77 II
Just a few changes and little differences from the a77 and the a77II The 2 big difference are the hot shoe, had to buy a adapted for my Sony Flashes and the HDMI cable has a different set up, and the cord is very short.

A forced upgrade, but well worth it.
My first camera, the a77, died unexpectedly and I was not financially prepared for that hit. Estimates of repair were 500-700 dollar range with no guarantees. Having three pretty decent lenses for the a77 which would not necessarily work well with a full frame camera, I purchased the a77 mk II with a bit of reluctance and feeling forced to upgrade. It has been a very good choice. The familiarity of the camera layout is a plus, and the new menu an... Show More

Love camera
Upgraded from A77. Really like the new features in this camera. Seems faster that the A77. As with any camera it takes time to learn the new aspects of a camera. But looking forward to getting a lot of use from it.

The Best SLT/SLR Camera I Have Ever Owned!
Everything about this camera is amazing! Images come out brilliant and very sharp. Video is great at 1080p and tracks very well. The most astonishing feature I like about this camera, is a feature called, Focus Peaking This enables the user to perfectly focus the subject into view using the entire frame. Images come out perfectly focused throughout the frame. This is especially useful when taking close-up shots with macro prime lenses. All in all... Show More

I really enjoy this camera. There are so many different knows and settings, once you get use to this camera this is going to be a wonderful camera to use. My first photo was a night shot and it turned out great with the help from the camera. Again what a camera.

Great Camera - Good Value
This is my 4th Sony DLSR camera. The previous model A58 died after almost 200K pictures were taken. I see a couple of good improvements especially in AF ,White balance, and overall mechanism of moving parts. Downsize - to shot auto flash, set a couple of simple functions you need to go to set ups instead pushing one button.

Great Camera
This is my second Sony Alpha a77. My previous one was damage after 3 years of use, and I chose to replace it with the newer version rather than spend $ on repairs. I have been very pleased with the camera function, the images are great, and I believe the newer version has some nice additions in the programming.

I use this camera for both photography and videography, and it works great for both purposes. It captures beautiful and rich pictures and video. I'm still learning how to use all the features, and haven't come across any shortcomings as of yet.

Wow, Wow, Wow!
This is an upgrade from the SLT-a65 which was a great camera. All i can say is that i'm glad i did. This camera is amazing. When I tell you that I've studied and compared over and over again between Nikon, Canon and Sony..........this camera, in my opinion, hands down has more features and out performs! Okay, so Nikon and Canon may have more lens choices but there are plenty A-mount lenses available and truly, spend a couple bucks on one, two or ... Show More

Took a picture showing the aircraft cable holding a light fixture and it showed the detail of the cable along with the rod supporting the light. Able to get details of where the flooring had an uneven connection.

I love the camera. The speed is phenomenal both indoors and outdoors with perfect focus. The view finder extends and allows you multiple positions, I can wirelessly send any picture to my iPhone or my TV. I have never had a camera with such great response. It's a bit heavier than previous cameras I've, but it's worth it to me.

Best Camera I've Ever Owned!
I sold my a700 and bought this camera in November 2015 and I'm so happy I did! This camera has so many features that I didn't have with the a700. There are so many focus points it would be very hard to take a picture that's not in focus. It has many options for configuring the focus area for every situation you can imagine. I find I use the expanded spot the most so I can control the area that's in focus. One thing that's handy is the AF Micro Ad... Show More

Stepping up!
Stepping up from A 100. It's like going from a Yugo to a Yukon Denali. Had so many people tell me not to buy it and go with Nikon. My main concern was all the lenses I had for my A100. I sure am glad I stayed with Sony. Love the oled viewfinder. You would never know that you are looking at a screen. The nice thing is that you can see well in low light. Shoots amazing video. I shoot dental photography and use the Sony 100 macro with the Sony dual ... Show More

Meaningful Improvement to Original a77
Best improvement to me (there are others) is the clearly lower noise level and improved image quality due to better jpeg processing compared to the original a77. Hi ISO performance is significantly improved At its current price it is a bargain. All owners of Sony/Minolta-Mount glass should have one.

This Camera is amazing
I haven't had this camera very long but I am already impressed with it, the clarity of the pictures are amazing, I am getting older and my eyes aren't the best but thanks to the autofocus on this camera I am able to take some great pictures, also the autofocus is very fast on this camera. I was able to take a picture of a bird on a power line with the vehicle moving about 35 mph on an overcast day and I was very satisfied with the picture I got. ... Show More
