Wow!
My previous camera is a Nikon D5000 with Nikkor 18-200 lens. This camera is the same. WHAT a difference, especially with sharpness and shutter lag (or lack thereof). My son is a wrestler. Great budget camera
I upgraded to this a6000 from my a5100 because the a6000 now records in XAVC-S. Compared to the a5100, the a6000 comes with a hot-shoe for an upgraded mic, a viewfinder, and shoots 11fps photos excellent for sporting events. I mainly use this camera to shoot video but I also use it for photography. I am usually shooting motocross which is a very fast-paced sport and this little mirrorless camera is perfect for my needs. It's not amazing in low light, but a good fast lens will help with that.

So far so good!
I have been playing with it for about two weekends now, and am really happy with it. First mirrorless after deciding to get rid of my Nikon D5000. My only complaint is that it takes a long time to wake up from sleep but apparently turning it off/on instead of letting it sleep while taking street photos is the way to go to stop that from happening. See's in the dark and focuses fast
The a6000 is fast, compact and easy to use in its superior auto mode where it recognizes the elements of the scene and selects the appropriate settings. It has so many features that it is hard to master them all so pick a few and learn the controls for calling them up and shooting. As a negative there appear to be too many ways to do something like from the menu or from a pre set button or a customized button. But the pictures are very good and it is a lot easier to carry around then my DSLR.

Amazing Camera
I got this in advance of a big family trip - using it around town for the past two weeks to get accustomed to it, and impressed. Pros - Lightweight, compact, fits my grip well Pop-out screen actually pops out very easily, little resistance - was one of the features I thought I wouldn't use, but found I've been using it consistently Cons - The black does show fingerprints, I wish the white came in body only (I wasn't interested in the kit lens). Love this camera!
I have used Nikon and Canok cameras before switching to mirrorless. I ran extensive tests with this camera side by side to a Nikon body. The a6000 performed multitudes better in every aspect. Clarity as well as ISO performance. One of my favorite features is the availability to use apps through the camera. There is one in paticular called timelapse. This camera is for sure worth upgrading too.

I currently own an NEX6 and other Sony Cameras and got this A6000 as a potential step up from the nex6. I couldn't resist the price. Did not expect to find it was significantly better than the NEX6 in so many ways ( and I really like the NEX6)but was extremely pleased with the A6000. Exceptional Camera!
Love this Camera. I recently moved from my A77 to this smaller system and all I can say is, glad I did. So small and compact with the capacity to get amazing shots. Best feature I like is the ability to charge from USB. USB charging makes camping and long day hikes a breeze to use and recharge.

Optical Steady Shot great for my weak hands!

Great all-purpose camera, but even with Sony 35mm F 1.8 lens, set ISO to 800 or above still will give you a lot of noise on the photo.

Great camera for just about everything!
I am in no way a photography expert, and my expirience is limited to doing it as a hobby. Big bang from a little package.
I bought the a6000 as a hiking, travel camera. It has fulfilled that need, and more. I find that I am relying on it as my primary camera rather than a backup. It is fast-focusing, shoots high resolutions photos, and is easy to use. All-in-all, a great little package.

Really good travel camera
Bought the camera for my wife. I also bought the 55-210 f4.5-6.3 lens. We are very pleased. She is especially pleased with the white camera. In fact, it is probably over kill for an amature's travel camera but we like the size and feel and the results have been outstanding. She has bought some small accessories such as screen protectors. If it had a touch screen, I would have given it 5 stars. I put a Nikon to Sony lens adapter on one of my old (1971) Nikor lenses. It took good pictures But won't come off of the lens! I sent it in for repair.

great fast camera
I purchased this camera on a Wednesday to use as a back up camera for a wedding on Saturday. This camera is easy to use and the menus didn't take long to understand. I was impressed with the jpeg files coming out of this camera, very vibrant colors. I used the Sony 18-105 and the Sony 50mm 1.8. I enjoyed the autofocus speed and accuracy of this camera and it missed focus only a few times.

Amazing Camera !!
This camera offers everything that i was looking for in a budget camera as a College student. I am on budget but yet i wanted a camera that will do what i want it to, for example this camera shots GREAT video yet the pictures is GREAT too. i don't really worry about getting any other camera now. Lastly any lens will work on it (with the correct adapter) it's does not have problems with other lenses, but i had this problem that happened to me the other day which is really rare but whenever i move the camera real fast it will start to lag while shooting video, maybe because of my sense choice.

Great Size
This camera is amazing for it's size at 24MP. However, I wouldn't recommend it if you aren't familiar with manual photo operation. I found the images using autofocus were underexposed on average.

Great little camera
I bought this camera as a lightweight complement to my Canon 5DS R. I also bought the Zeiss 16-70mm lens to go with it. I did resolution tests, and of course it's not as sharp as the 5DS R, but still great for such a small, lightweight combination. Surprisingly, the color aliasing is much worse than the 5DS R. Hunts a lot in Low Light. AF is not always accurate
This camera works really well in good bright light, however, in room light with one LED lamp in the middle of the room, the AF only works about 40% of the time, and 60% hunts and has a hard time focusing. I brought this camera to a club in NYC where they had a Halloween contest. I missed a lot of good shots on the stage because it took a long time for the camera to focus, and a lot of times it couldn't even focus. I am very very disappointed.

A functional fit for any
Having used larger SLRs for years in travel and as an elder amateur looking for good recorded memories, I have tested the a6000 as a replacement system. It is a great camera that offers all the flexibility in shooting that I desire as well as a superb lens and lightweight compactness that is equal to that of my current SLR system. Definitely more suitable to comfortable travel while maintaining the equivalent quality of photographic outcomes also at a much more reasonable cost.

FANTASTIC CAMERA
I captured hundreds of stunning Street, Macro and bird photos with A6000. In my previous review I said it is Light Weight Good Camera. After taking pictures for a while, I think it is one of the best mid range Sony mirror less camera .The processor in the camera is amazing technological innovation . I would give six stars if I could.
