They work
Great upgrade for me. Wear them opposite to how they are labeled to fit my head. Block sounds from outside phones. May be good for construction sites too. Makes you feel loved.

Good Sound - logo popped off
Decent set of headphones for monitoring audio. Mainly used for interviews on a documentary we are working on. Recommended by my B&H guy and they did the job for me recently in London & NY. I suppose build quality not so good as the metal logo popped off while I was shooting. Not a big deal and can't be bothered sending it back, but perhaps the manufacturer might fix that so we can all do free advertising for them. For a few bucks more he did recommend the one with detachable cord so you could use a smaller or longer cord depending on your needs but this worked fine for me. So far.

Sounds great, music sounds natural.
Hook this up to a Roland digital piano. The coiled cable is very useful. I don't have to take it off if I switch piano pieces. Got a lot more than I expected.
I bought a pair of these on the B&H deal of the day and wasn't expecting much but I believe I just bought the best headphones I've ever owned. I use these for field monitoring of a zoom H6 and get great isolation from ambient noise, they are extremely comfortable and have a fantastic sound.

Very comparable to Sony MDR-V6
I have a pair of Sony MDR-V6 headphones, and the SMH-500 has a very similar fit and sound. They are very comfortable on the head. With the SMH-500 being available in the mid $30 range on sale, I'd grab a pair over the more expensive Sonys.

Great bang for the buck
Great monitors for the Field, super comfy, mids are really emphasized so good for spotting distortion & noise and all.

EQ Curve designed for sound engineers
Could not beat the price, plus the discounted add-on leather ear cushions. I plugged these into my laptop and reduced volume control from 20 (internal speakers) down to 5. Clamping pressure will likely ease with use, I expect. These will be used in engineering live sound for concert recording and church services, and in converting old LPs to CD at home. The 1/4 gold-plated adapter screws on the mini plug; very secure. The EQ curve is designed to ... Show More
