So Far So Good
This is my 2nd Lumix camera. This one has a ton of new features...problem will be to remember how to use them. Love the slo-mo movie feature! My other Lumix camera broke after about 4 years...hope this one last longer.

Very efficient camera
Has a great zoom capability. Not the most compact camera in the world but the fact that it has a fully retractable lens and a view finder make it a very easy to use camera. A step above the normal pocket camera.

Good Little Camera
Camera did take good pictures, but I prefer my camera, even though it is a LOT heavier. I bought the camera b/c it was small and compact. However, I would rather carry a heavier camera to get better pictures.

Manual difficulties
Some difficulties in interpreting the menu system and the settings for Manual focus. It works fine in P A and S but I can't get the focusing ring to work in M and MF. Also ISO auto doesn't appear in M mode.

Good and not so good...
The lens cover keeps jamming, and needs tapping carefully to open. My DMC LX5 takes much better close up photos, so I take both with me, one for close ups and one for the ZS50's wonderful zoom.

Must have go everywhere camera!
Great camera that can fit in your shirt or jacket pocket plus yield outstanding results. Be sure to read the manual that comes on the cd, you will discover how to do so much more with camera.

Good relation quality/price
I wanted to have a powerfull camera for a certain amount Of money, but without detritment to quality and this camera made it possible. It is very intuitive to use and has a comfortable size

too much whiz and not enough bank
I HAVE BOTH CAMERAS, THE ZS40, AND THE ZS50 ON BOTH CAMERAS, THE LETTERS ON THE MODE DIAL, CAME OFF, AFTER TWO WEEKS. SENT BOTH TO PANASONIC FOR REPAIR. THIS IS AN UNHEARD THING TO HAPPEN.

Great pics from a small package
one week in, took it to Yellowstone and got great shots of the animals, scenery, geysers - all on IA setting. It didnt miss a shot, quick recovery time and auto worked every time.

Good Quality-Easy to Use
Received the camera, charged the battery and started taking pictures. All modes are easy to adjust too with a short learning curve. Pictures are clear with minimal, if any, noise.

Nice camera for stills...
I like the camera for stills. The zoom works fine. The action shots are not clear. Tried different settings and the camera does not take a clear picture if the subject is moving.

Great travel camera
Zoom lens goes from 40mm to 700mm which is great for traveling without having to take a bag of lenses. Camera is small enough to fit in pouch that attaches to your belt.

Perfect camera, perfect price
This is my second Panasonic Lumix and has more bang for the bucks than my older model. Still has the small, easy to handle size and easy to use and navigate options.

Great little camera
Dont expect APS- C or four thirds results from this tiny sensor, but its pretty darn good.And shirt pocket size. Any picture is better than no picture at all.

Sleeper, excellent camera
Excellent camera, I didn't think that the 750mm telephoto would be usable but it is very sharper. See the photo attached taken at 15 meters.
