Super Versatile Camera
If you are older and used SLR cameras you will feel very comfortable using this camera and if you prefer using digital menus you can control it that way. Great travel size, excellent lens, in short a very versatile camera.

Lumix LX-100
My LX-100 arrived a few days ago and so far it is everything I expected. I got it because we are going to Iceland next year and I needed something affordable with which I could shoot in lower light situations. Love it. Now I just have to play with it in different situations. It is definitely more capable than I am.

Lumix lost their way with this camera
I admire the engineers who created this camera, but sad to say I am unlikely to buy a Panasonic again. The LX3 was excellent. The LX7 was excellent. My initial experience was that the LX100 would prove better. I love the viewfinder-- excellent. The controls, especially for video are more awkward, but problems are not insurmountable. The biggest problem? The camera sucks in dust-- and the dust spoils your pictures! The guarantees or special... Show More

LCD Needs Work
I have used this camera for a year now and I have two suggestions. When both of these are incorporated into a third-generation version, *along with better dust protection*, I will upgrade. Until then, I will be satisfied with what I have. This camera is not perfect, but it holds up well under most conditions. Unfortunately, I often accidentally move dials and make unwanted adjustments to settings (such as exposure), but I am getting more used to ... Show More

Show More

Great picture and video quality BUT...
I took a lot of great pictures with this camera and its so handy to take to travels and almost forgot about my DSLR because Im satisfied with its output. the issue was after a couple of years, i began to see noise in my pic. sensor issue and i could not find a shop in Houston to clean it. My only option was to send it back to manufacturer and it would be costly. I researched and found out that this is a common issue with this camera, dusts can easily go in to the camera. so if you buy it make sure its always covered after using it.

Value, fun, quality
After using this camera extensively for two years, Ive decided to share some thoughts on it. A few words that come to mind when I think about the LX100 is accessibility (both in an economic and practical sense), quality of build and image, and features. Althoughfar from being perfect (or a workhorse), its incredible that such a small camera can pack such a punch. Im not gonna go through specs as you can find all over the net. The fact that you ha... Lumix LX100 is perfect for old-school types
This a great camera for a those who started with film. The physical controls remind me of my first camera, a Canon 7S rangefinder. I have never before experimented with alternate aspect ratios while shooting, and it is a very rewarding experience. The LX100 is small, barely bigger than a ZS100.

Great Little Camera
I bought this camera as a backup to my DSLR. I didn't want just a point and shoot. I wanted something that would allow me the creativity of my main camera. The LX-100 is perfect. When I don't want the weight of my DSLR, I can drop the LX-100 in my vest pocket pocket and be on my way.

It's Complicated
I really like my GX85 with the small 12-32 lens, but I wanted a lens better suited for low-light situations. And I wanted a Leica lens for the sharpness and contrast. My solution was the LX100. I got the lens I wanted and a backup camera at the same time. That said, I was a little surprised that the Leica lens didn't deliver the same warm tones that the 12-32 did at the same settings. It's not a problem but I need to research different white bala... Show More

Perfect Travel Camera
I recently bought this camera to replace my larger DSLR whilst traveling. I still wanted to be able to shoot in RAW and have certain manual features. This little camera really packs a punch.

Great camera!
I must confess I haven't had enough time to play with it yet, but I did get it out to Arizona for a weekend and got some really great shots in Sedona & other locations around Phoenix. Love the grip, the size and the weight on this camera. Looking forward to taking it to Europe soon and really giving it a good test.

Great people camera
So far I have been using this camera for indoor and low light people pics and I love the results. The controls are very well placed and make changing settings fast and easy. The fast lens has really improved my results. As a longtime user of Lumix cameras this tops my list of great cameras. As always B&H have been great to work with.

Fab for the price
A great camera, especially if you're getting started in portrait photography, and you're trying to keep a hold of your wallet. The auto settings are spot on if you didn't want to go manual. Not the best option for photo journalism b/c it takes time to turn off/on and zoom in/out; therefore, it's not ideal for quick shots. This camera works really well in low lighting.

My second LX100 ...
I owned an LX100 that ended up falling into Lake Michigan in 2016. Instead of replacing it, I bought a Sony RX100 IV. Except for star time lapses, I never liked the Sony. The video IQ was just meh and the photos were just okay too. I'm so stoked to have the LX100 again. The video is great. Even without a tilting LCD, I use it for vLogging and quick filmmaking. I love the way the menus are setup and its all-around ease of use. My main complaint ... Show More

It's amazing
I still learn how to shoot manual but the automatic shots turn outstanding. The reason I buy it because I like the big sensor in a compact size camera for travel.

Excellent compact camera
I highly recommend this camera. This is the second LX100 I have purchased. This one was purchased as a work tool based on favorable experiences with my personal unit. It is used primarily for video capture for technical training. This involves capturing electronic assembly work while it's actually being performed in production. Video quality is good. The built-in Wi-Fi allowing remote, via cell phone, control of start/stop, zoom and focus has bee... Show More

Everything but the bag is what I expected, but . . .
I like the camera a lot as it complements my DSLRs as I hoped. I am not happy to learn that shortly after receiving this item a new model became available. Mind, I understand how this kind of thing is outside your control, but I did order by phone and as I think back to the experience it occurs to me that the salesman might have pointed out that, hey, you know a new model is in the wings. Also, the bag that comes with the item is useless because the camera has to be stuffed in so that it would be hard to get out.

Its a Leica lens!
I wanted a tag along camera that had a great lens. I'm a retired pro photographer and would not be happy with just any camera. The LX100 is a lot of fun, makes great images and continues to be one of my favorite cameras. A litter big for most pockets, but I can carry it in my cargo shorts pockets. 90% of the time I'm using it in Auto with Auto ISO and it surprises me image quality...like I said "Leica lens."

DUST ON THE SENSOR - DO NOT BUY
This thing takes fine pictures and video. However you WILL get dust on the sensor and there is NOTHING you can do about it except take the camera apart and clean the sensor manually. This is a HUGE design flaw on an otherwise good camera. Honestly, Panasonic owes LX100 owners an apology, a recall or a refund. Utterly rotten.

Falling in love with street photography again
I've been using it for the past few days and I'm still learning how to get around some of it's great features. It is a very light and small camera compared with my Nikon D3 and Nikon D750. So I'm very happy to finally have an all around camera to bring anywhere I go. The f1.7 is simply great in low light conditions. So if you want a walk around camera, I think for what it packs inside, this would be a great choice.

Good all-around camera when you don't want to carry heavy
I have a Nikon D5200 as primary, but it and 2 other lens, and flash, are kinda heavy to carry when you want to travel lite. The Panasonic LX100 is the perfect solution. It takes great pictures, comparable with the Nikon, and love that the aperture, shutter speed, and focus are all on manual dials. The 24-75mm lens with f1.7 largest aperture is all I'll ever need, as I don't need longer lens for most stuff. Also, like that it has a viewfinder so you don't have to hold the camera a foot from your body and incur some shake.

Outstanding Pt & Shoot
Fantastic small camera that I carry when not wanting to carry a DSLR. Larger micro 4/3 sensor allows great quality, low light shooting, and control of DOF.
