A production machine with a few too many buttons

There is much to like about the S1R. Its built like a tank, sits extremely well in the hands, its meant for production, and it invites to studio work and/or a tripod. The 47MP files allow for extensive crop. The choices, buttons and menus was tiring for me. I will be going with the Leica SL Mark II when that is released. Very much the same camera, but much simpler interface in the Leica. The Panasonic is much less in price though.

Fully featured and capable, with a best-in-class EVF

First impression: enjoying this camera, though its a bit heavy - the weight is reminiscent of DSLRs, not mirrorless bodies. Works well with native L-mount glass, and Ive also mounted M-mount lenses, which work really well with the incredibly sharp EVF. Will have more information to add in a bit ...

Goodbye my Beloved A7RIII!

I just received my new camera, Panasonic S1R. I sold off all my Sony Gear (A7RIII, 24GM, 85GM 50ZA) and I must tell you, I dont miss my Sony one bit, and I loved my Sony (Been with them for 10 years).
