What do you want to use this this lens for?
I use this lens almost exclusively for video work but included 2 toss away pics for zoom illustration purposes. I am not a photographer by any stretch. Pros: I love this lens because the 12-60 gives me exactly what I want / need: 1) Zoom - a decent wide angle and zoom without losing too much quality. I know the 12-35 is a little sharper but I need the longer reach. Most people can't tell the difference anyway and I didn't wan't to trade action fo... Show More

Sharp, Solid and Satisfying
Bought this for use on my Lumix GX-8 and GX-7. I already have the Lumix 14-140 II so why the 12-60 II? It's solid, a bit sharper, and gives better contrast. A fun lens to use and though solid, light enough for long walks.

Not replacing my 12-35 for video work
I agonized over the decision to keep this lens to compliment my existing 12-35 mk1, but in the end I returned this 12-60. I will say, the quality at 12mm equals that of the 12-35. However, for video work on a small sensor camera, f4 just isn't flexible enough. Going to purchase the 35-100 2.8 instead. If you want an excellent outdoor video lens, try it! And of course, for photography, this lens is incredible!

Best lens for GH5
It has been reviewed to death. What I can tell you is I get the same results with this as I do with my Canon 5D3 and 24-70. I thought I was just buying the GH5 for video. This lens changed my mind.

Great walkaround lens
This lens has been so useful on my GH5 that it basically lives there. I've just started using the GH5 after years of using Canon APS-C bodies. This has given me an image good enough to keep me from reaching for a speedbooster. It's got a great range for its size and weight.

Save The Money!
Bought this bundled with the GH5 from the UK and it only cost $2,022! Save the money and shop overseas. It's completely fine and there are no duties and taxes on personal cameras.

Great Lens
I haven't had this lens very long but so far I am very pleased with it. Build quality seem to be excelent. I bought it to replace the 12mm-35mm F2.8 Panasonic lens. That is a lens that I have loved and use to use for 90% of all my shooting. I bought the 12-60 for a little more reach, The extra length has been great for my purposes. I only nark it down one star for the variable aperture. If this was 2.8 all the way to 60mm it would be perfect.

PERFECT WALK ABOUT LENS
Great match for Pen-F for a lightweight walk about zoom kit. Outstanding optical performance and usefulness with equivalent 24-120 focal length range. I considered the Oly 12-100/4.0 but it's larger size, longer focal length, and additional 8oz makes it more of a ride about kit on the Pen-F. Bonus: the 12-60/2.8-4.0 suffices as a macro and I no longer need my 45/2.8 macro. Highly recommended. If price is a concern, consider investing in fewer but better lenses.

outstanding lens for micro four thirds
Magnificent lens on the micro four thirds lens. I began to use this the first day it came out in place of the 12-35 f2.8. For video, its incredible stabilization combines with in camera on GX8 stabilization to give a jitter free hand held video recording evem at maximum zoom. The extra length of the zoom range is a welcome addition and minimizes lens swapping.

Great general purpose lens
Wow! What a lens. I've been using (and loving) my Lumix G-X 12-35mm f/2.8 zoom for years. Now I have a single lens with greater reach with substantially the same weight, size and image quality. I'm not a video shooter so the constant aperture is not so important to me. Mostly, I use this lens for landscape, travel and events. In these situations I stop down to typically f/5.6 anyway. (For art photography and portraits I use a bright 25mm or 75mm prime lens. In summary, its a great lens to be the only lens you leave the house with.

Excellent upgrade from Lumix 12-24 f2.8
This lens replaced my Lumix 12-24 f2.8 v1 (gifted to family member). I'm currently using it on my GH3, waiting for the GH5 to arrive. This lens focuses fast and I'm enjoying the extra reach it has beyond the 12-24. Can't wait to test it with the GH5's IBIS.

Love it; have already written review. Would add, though, a minor, nit-picky detail: Panasonic forgot to state on the box that the lens is freeze-resistant as well as dust and splash-proof.

Excellent for a 5:1 zoom; great walk-around lens.
I bought this to supplement my current lineup, and use as a walk around lens instead of the 12-35. I like the extra range it offers. While not quite as sharp as the 12-35 it is still a very sharp lens, and only some nasty pixel peeping can see the difference. Expensive, but worth it.

EXCELLENT LENS
Simply a superb lens. I bought it for use on the coming GH5. In the meantime I have it on my wife's G85 and it produces sharp images and excellent dynamic range. Well worth the money!

Worth.Every.Penny.
(Camera: Olympus EM1 mkii; Hoya HD UV filter) The lens arrived this afternoon, and the attached photos are examples of how it performed in the bright mid-afternoon sun. The lake photo was shot at 12mm f11and the flowers at 60mm f4. The lake photo had to be straightened; otherwise there are no corrections to the raw files, which I exported as jpegs. The lake photo is beautifully sharp corner to corner and side to side. The sun flare has only a mil... Show More
