600mm in the palm of your hand...steady
Have used the lens now for 2 weeks. Subjects are deer, birds, compression in landscapes. Can't beat the tiny size, low weight of the lens, so easy to carry. I find the results to be surprisingly good from 250mm on down. At 300mm is shows alot of compromises but still very good. At 300mm I found a tripod to be a must for best results. Fair lens
Nice weight for 300mm. F/stop a bit feeble. I am waiting for the 300mm f/2,8. My photos have been hit and miss at 300mm......some very sharp, but more are less than sharp.

Better than I expected.
I have been using the Oly 4:3 system for about 8 years and would not switch to the M4:3 system until the EM-1 came out. I've kept some of my 4:3 lenses, but came to like the small lightweight M4:3 lenses too. I am patiently waiting for the new Pro 300/f/4, but decided I need someth long in the mean time. Little Big Zoom
I'm only deducting one star from a perfect rating because the f4.8 limitation makes this pretty much an outdoor-on-a-decent-day-only supertelephoto lens, but ... BOY, is it a fantastic sunny day shooter! Beautifully clear, all the way from 75 to 300mm. And light as a feather, in comparison to other interchangeable zooms. It's best on an Olympus body to compensate for no in-lens stabilization, as you'd imagine.

Love this lens!
Took it on vacation and was able to get some shots of wildlife that would not have been possible without it. It fit my bag without adding much bulk or weight.

Correction
Update. I mentioned image stabilization - neither the lens nor the GM1 claim any stabilization. But on my GM1 at 300mm (600mm effective) I'm getting no visible image shake at 1/400th second, about half the traditional cutoff of one over the effective focal length - handheld. If there is no stablization, it speaks well for the lack of mirror slap in the mirrorless cameras. The more I get used to this small package, the better the image quality I get.

Better than OK
When I compare this lens to my Sony 55-300 at almost twice the price, it doesn't quite make it. However, the sharpness while a bit soft is quite uniform across the field and contrast is only a small shortcoming on very bright subjects (see below) and can be handled to a fare-thee-well by underexposing (which can help with keeping iso low and shutter speed high). Lots of reach in a small package
I use this largely on an EM-1 for landscapes and wildlife and occasionally for sneaky portraits. It is an amazing lens going from 150 - 600mm (35mm equivalent) in a very small and light package. Excellent up to about 200mm, it drops to very good/good over that.It's not a replacement for a prime long lens but it is surprisingly good for the price. Too large but not many other choices
Overall this is a lens I don't particularly like but will use for now because there is not much else on the market for 300mm Micro 4/3 lenses. My main issue is that the lens is enormous and looks ridiculous when zoomed to 300mm and placed on my E-P5. Very good lens for nature photographer
I was not sure how often I can use this 75-300mm super zoom for my daily photographing because of the long focal length. But now, I am really happy about this long lens. It is very good for every nature photographing. I sometimes go out with only this lens. This gives me fresh and simplified image of nature. I like the solid construction. Zooming is smooth by just 90 degree action. Image quality is very good with nice Boke.

Good product with a fair price. Not very many super telephoto options for MFT and is now less than the Panasonic option. Decent quality for a 600mm FF equivalent.

sharp lens, f stops could be bigger
if you have the olympus 40-150, you have duplicated the focal length up to 150 and have the smaller openings to make it less useful. but it is sharp and the useful range is from 150 to 300 (300-600 in full frame 35mm) if you have the 40-150. its light to cary but needs to be stabilized at longer focal lengths.shorter focal lengths replace the 40-150

A Good LensBut Not Without Shortcomings
Used on a OM D EM 1. Mostly shooting birds. The focal length is nearly ideal for this type of shooting. The lens is sharp wide open and gets sharper at f/8. Its slow and hunts at 300mm. Misses or refuses to focus at times.

Quite Satisfactory
I'm using this lens with the Olympus OM-D E-M5. It's not a particularly fast lens, but it's affordable and in good light it does fine. It's small enough and light enough to easily carry in one hand on daily long walks, and the results are good.

A Good Lens but not without Shortcomings
I use this on a OM D EM 1 mostly birding. Great focal range regardless of cost. Sharp at all focal lengths. Amazingly small and light for its range. Build quality is very good. Very cost effective. Focuses quickly at the lower focal lengths. Focuses slowly near the top end of the focal range. Misses focus often in low contrast scenes at the high end. It would be a joy to use if not for the focusing issues. I recommend it with qualifications.

Great zoom lens at a BARGIN
Have taken this lens on a walk around a lake area and tried photos from the 70's to the 300's and amazed at the quality of the photos.

Better than expected...
I shouldn't have put this purchase off for so long. Yes, of course the aperture range is slow (and inevitably, sometimes too slow) yet with faith in the camera's ISO capability and good technique, many hand-held shots can be pretty darn good due to the high quality Olympus glass. On-tripod results are way better than I expected. Great to have auto-focus with the long reach that I had tried to obtain from old classic manual focus lenses that couldn't match the optics in this lens. Color me satisfied!

Poor Performance for Expense Lens
This lens was very expensive and really did not take nice pictures. I bought it for taking pictures of birds and it really did not bring them much closer than a 150 mm lens. I think my first mistake was having a salesperson talk me into a micro four third camera. The selection of lenses are limited and they tend to be more expensive than the four thirds. Also, I should have bought a camera that I could have eventually expanded the lens to a much more powerful zoom. I am slowly loosing interest because the equipment that I bought was expensive and not scalable to more powerful lenses.

Good Telephoto.
This has a great zoom capability. With IS, this works really well for 300mm. It's pretty sharp. The lens is a little slow. I'd like it to be a bit faster and also with a constant aperture. For this range, you can't beat the size. Can't compare this to the 100-300 from Panasonic, but for the price, you can't go wrong.

Works well with the M-1
I was using a full size Canon with a 400mm but on hikes it was a lot to carry. I am very happy with the Olympus 75-300 on my M-1 body as it is so much lighter and smaller. I was prepared for a drop off in picture quality but that was much less a problem than I first imagined. This lens has good sharpness though it's a little slow to capture the light, so I need to shoot at a higher ISO usually between 800 and 1,600. The image does not show too much noise so my noise reduction filter (Topaz) does the trick.

Great lightweight lens for 4/3 camera
This lens is a great addition to my Olympus OM-D E-M5. As I do a lot of international travel, I was very happy to add a lightweight lens with a 600mm equivalent zoom - just right for game drives and landscapes. The Olympus LH-61E LENS HOOD f/70-300mm f/4-5.6 seems to be the one that works best with this lens; I haven't found any 3rd party hoods that work as effectively.
