Great Lens for Indoor Sports
This lens is great for indoor sports and allows me to shoot at faster speeds to stop some of the action. I would strongly recommend this to friends.

Beautiful Lens
This is my second Olympus f1.2 Pro lens and Im thoroughly impressed. So bright. Beautiful bokeh. So easy to isolate your subject with that shallow depth of field. Sharp end to end. Excellent build quality. Its fun to shoot. This along with the equally exceptional 17mm f1.2 is about all I need.

Hello Portrait
Just what i need for my style of portrait work. Some use a longer focal length, but I prefer to get up close, and use wide open to limit the depth-of-field most of the time. Sits quite nicely on the Em1Mkii with or without the battery grip.

Fantastic Lens
While I own several pro lenses that duplicate this millimeter lens, they do not present the same characteristics associated with this gem of a lens. I went through mental anguish deciding whether to get the 1.8considerably less moneyor just stay with my 2.8 40-150 pro. I own the 25mm 1.2 and have seen the difference. I am glad I spent the dollars to get this lens. Taking head shots or couples illustrate the marvelous characteristics this lens pos... Show More

Sharp & Fast
Sharpest Oly glass I have ever used in pro FT or MFT. Very fast and accurate focusing. My old E-M1 feels like a new camera again. Great go to lens for my portrait business.

It's everything the reviewers say it is
Perhaps there's a review out there that includes some reservations about this lens. My real-world experience tells me it's simply excellent in every way. If you don't wince at the price, if the size is okay for you, if you want it, get it. Simple as that. Sharp wide open and beyond. I've used it in studio situations (I'm not a pro) and on the street. No issues and no reservations. Fast, sharp, weather-protected, balances great on my Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II.

Wonderful portrait lens with exceptional bokeh capability.
Great addition to M.Zuiko Pro series. I often use a variable ND filter with this lens in our bright Prescott, AZ sun in order to fully take advantage of the f/1.2 stop.

Excellent lens, but pricey.
Is it worth the money or not? Maybe. I have both, the Olympus Zuiko 25mm f1.2 and the Panasonic Nocticron 42.5mm f1.2. In this review I will compare them to the Zuiko 45mm f1.2 lens, and will refer to them as: Nocti 42.5, Zuiko 25, and Zuiko 45 from this point on. This review is by no means scientific and simply reflects my experience with using each of these lenses. SHARPNESS: Zuiko 45 is a sharp lens. It is sharp wide-open and only gets sligh... Show More

A fine piece of engineering and production
This is a very fine lens and a welcome addition to a kit. Its properties and performance distinguish it from theM.ZUIKO ED 12-40MM F2.8 PRO theM.ZUIKO ED 12-100MM F4.0 IS PRO, and theM.ZUIKO 75MM F1.8. But if you already own any of these three you may want to think twice about adding the 45mm at its price today and wait till Olympus drops its price six or eight months from now. Although I don't regret buying all of them, others may want to pause and think about. It is a very fine (and therefore typically Olympus) lens.

Fantastic lens!
I've used this lens on several outings now, and have to say it is everything I hoped it would be. Beautiful bokeh wide open, with the subject rendered sharp, with pleasing colors. Stop the lens down, and it delivers crisp images corner to corner. Focus is fast and accurate on my EM-1 Mark II. Well worth the money.
