Microsoft Wireless Desktop 3050 Keyboard and Mouse
Better know your keyboard letters
I honestly don't know if this is the same as the 3000 model, but am assuming it's a replacement. Have had two 3000's and in both cases, the lettering disappeared from the most used keys in about 3 months. Microsoft replaced the first one, but my shipping costs to return it were just a little less than what it cost. They are refusing to replace the second one; but rather, recommended a new one that costs 21/2 times as much. This one appears to be the same, but can't say how it'll hold up. Just don't believe that Microsoft's so-called 3-year warrenty is worth anything. It's not!

Wireless Keyboard User
The slant of the keyboard allows for comfortable typing. Pressure and sound make it easy to tell when a key has been pressed. Attractive design. Once in a while, for unknown reason, there is a slight delay in a letter being displayed after pressed. This may be due to interference in the wireless transmission. The only area I see for improvement is to do something about how debris can get between the keys. I turn the keyboard upside down and tap it on the desk. This gets the debris out from between the keys. Very good wireless keyboard and mouse for a very economical price,.

Perfect Keyboard for the Impoversihed Writer
If your prose were as economical and effective as this keyboard, you'd be a 21st century Hemingway. The mouse, too, does yeoman work--if you accept Webster's definition of yeoman as one that sees a program through. All in all, a bargain good enough to inspire the writer...to consider buying a second such unit and stashing it away for that day, some years down the road when you've worn the letters off the keys and the transceiver starts to falter. Not a product for gamers, I fear, but perfect for those who write the stories on which such games are based....

Replacing my Desktop model 5000 with the 5050 model
There is nothing 'wrong' with my 3-year old Desktop 5000 model; however MS doesn't define any security for the 5000 whereas the 5050 uses AES-256 encryption for the keyboard. My 5000 will be moved to a system where security is less of an issue. Otherwise, there is no difference between the two.I've been completely happy and I expect to continue being completely happy.

Very Comfortable and Stylish
The Microsoft 5050 Keyboard and Mouse are replacing a Microsoft 4000 K&M. Although I was very used to the layout of the 4000, I quickly adapted to the slight differences in the 5050. The 5050 mouse is very similar to the 4000, has a very nice somewhat tactile feel, I really like it. The price was also not hard to like. I'm looking forward to many years of service.

Comfortable and very quick response
I use to have a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse set. I paid more for the Logitech but I kept having delayed response problems. My PC is mounted underneath my desk so the mouse and keyboard are only 2-3 ft. from the PC. So far the Microsoft unit has worked flawlessly. I like the feel of the keys as well, soft and smooth. The mouse is comfortable too.

Easy on the wrists, good keyboard
Purchased this keyboard to replace a model 5000 which had the letters completely worn off from use. I like the rests and feel like my wrists and hands don't get tired from typing as they do on regular keyboards.

still use my keyboard rest and mouse sensitive to port
Keyboard is very nice but layout takes some getting used to. I will definitely keep my keyboard rest to reduce fatigue. This is my first wireless mouse and it seems to behave better when in my hub

I would buy this product again.
My old Microsoft keyboard died so I thought I would try the curved keyboard and I love it! it took a little bit to get used to the position of the keys but I think I like the curved better!
