Very good, but could be better
I'm using those headphones for reference in my home studio, while doing live sets for soloing channels and simply for listening to music in&outdoors. The low end is a bit too loud for a reference pair, as is the top band. Noise isolation is really good, keeping the quality on the streets. The shells are not isolated well enough though, so you might experience scratches, pops and clicks if they're touched. More for listening to music than for work, but it's a good pair anyway.

Better bass than 7506, but, just as uncomfortable.
I use these for sound mixing within corporate video. I can say that for me the difference in bass sound quality between these and the MDR-7506's is quite noticeably better. Other primary difference here is the head band between earphones. The padding is noticeably thicker than 7506, but I was disappointed that the band is so narrow. Excellent!
Owned multiple pairs of 7506s. Loved them but too bright on the high end. 7510s have a great flat response needed for the mixing environment

I've owned 7506s for many years and have always had problems with the high high range on them. My mixes would always sound dull on other systems due to the 7506s brightness. The 7510s are definitely an upgrade. They won't flatter your tracks but it will give a much cleaner flat response, needed to have a closer representation of your work. Highly recommend.

These headphones are great for the price point, and I certainly prefer them to the Sony MDR-7506 (I think these are sturdier, fit better, and sound better), but at the end of the day these aren't designed to flatter what you're listening to. case does not fit the headphones
This a review for the package. Not specifically for the headphones,...but the fact is, this case does not fit these headphones. Many of the pro headphones out there have a detached cable from the headset. These do not. As a result, the cable extends a bit past the earphone cup, and as a result, makes it VERY difficult to fit into the headphone case provided here. Great sound but not built for the road....
They are good for sound but not for rugged use. I have a gig bag and a piece of the plastic casing has already broken off... I guess I could glue it but I've only had them for a few weeks so I feel I shouldn't have to. They do sound great though, and you can't beat the price... but i guess they sacrificed durability for price.

Hardly a professional studio equipment
The 7510 have very similar problem to the older 7506 model - way too much treble, with high peaks so, that for me it was painful to listen for more than a few minutes. Build quality is not bad, but not good either. Overall construction I would describe as very flimsy looking. There are a lot of headphones on the market, for the same price which built like a tank (look at Sennheiser 280 at least). 7510 on the contrary, remind the rather my cheap (if not even fake) headphones I had as a kid. I am at loss to say how Sony call this a professional headphones.

Neutral quality headphones for your monitoring
These studio headphones have that flat sound response you would expect from your monitoring system, so you can fully trust your ears after, of course, the given time to really know them. I switch between the headphones and my monitor speakers all the time when mixing and I can say that I'm very happy. They used to be good...
I've used these phones in studio for years - sounded good, fairly, durable, nice long cord, comfortable for long sessions. But I re-order them after most have broken headbands. That usually happens after several years. But these last ones I ordered started breaking pretty much as soon as they were out of the box. I guess this is a common problem now. Going to something else next time.

This is good for professional work. Build quality is a 5. Mine broke after 6 months of heavy use. If using for listening to music, be warned: it's cord is very long and ungainly.

I recommend these cans
Love the flexible coiled cord, good screw type phono plug adpt, Nice felt carry bag. Best of all is the sound. I think it has a balanced non fatiguing sound for extended listening. Instruments have good detail without sounding too harsh from a personal computer port. Comfortable over the ears cushioned pad which rejects many outside sounds.

Mid-priced, but not a middlig performer
Once past the $100 level for headphones there are lots of good choices, however for less than half of that, the MDR-7502 represents a good value. No, they don't produce the deepest thump & bump, but they are quite accurate and easy to listen to in the all-important mid-range which is often scooped out to emphasize extreme highs and lows in some 'phones. Sonically awesome, comfortable, but one big flaw
I love these headphones, they barely leak and are surprizingly comparable to the HD 600 that are priced similarly but are less versatile. Lightweight and good sound
Lightweight, good sound, fits snug on ears. I put them in my camera bag for monitoring sound. The onky drawback is they don't fold so it takes up more space than my other Sony headphones that I use for editing.
