Sounds good for the price except for loose harness inside
I like JBL. I have owned a set of JBL 8-inch studio monitors and my current JBL EON 10 PA speakers are at least 10 years old. Both products served reasonable well. Good Powered Speaker, with some caveats..
I bought two of these JBL powered speaker system about a month ago. They are being used for live music performance at club and restaurant venues. If you are only interested in good sound quality, and plenty of power and headroom, this speaker is a good choice. They sound great. Downgrade in the EON series
This is a downgrade in the EON speakers. The speaker before this is the 515XT which is a super speaker. But they stopped making those and now they make these, and it's a downgrade. First of all, the SPL is 127. It used to be 132. Why would they do that? Secondly, it's a little bit heavier. Not by much, but just a little bit. Why would they do that? Great Speaker, Needs Break-in Period
I've owned this speaker for 2 years and use it primarily for indoor playback at low to moderate levels. The clarity of music and vocals at 50 feet and beyond is fantastic and what makes this signature JBL imo. I was disappointed with the bass response for the first several months but after more playback have found the speaker to break in nicely and extend the low end. I am a much bigger fan of JBLs competitors but these were well-reviewed, rated 1000 watts and discounted to just under $200 each including an instant rebate. lasted less than 11 monthts, working at half power
So freaking upset.. never thought i would come back to this site to leave what i intend to make it a negative review on such a pricy and reputable brand. Poor Build Quality
I purchased 2 of these. I wanted a small system that had 1000 watts. I've used JBL passive speaker in the past and was please with the quality of construction and sound. These new EON speaker sounded fine but I noticed a glue blimish, like a glob that was left on the finish and removed taking the finish off with it. The EON615 are great sounding speakers but fail in so many ways!! Cons #1 The construction on these speakers is pour to say the least. #2 The sound quality is ok in main setting but lack that great JBL sound. #3 JBL failed to deliver the EON app it promised by Nov. 1st 2014. #4 NO RCA. Awesome system, great price
Bought one of these sets for $849.99... at that price it's an insanely good deal but it's still a pretty good deal at $1049.99. The EON615s are enough to thump even a large room or outdoor space. The stands and cases all seem like very high quality, and a couple extra mic cables doesn't hurt either. well title says it all, had one, it is great, so bought second one. What greatly helped in decision to buy second one was the fact that B&H had it on sale for $269. Plenty of Power
I purchased these loudspeakers for use at outdoor events for various groups. I have a mixer but do not have a good power amplifier, so I chose to buy powered speakers and use my mixer to drive them. They sound great
Purchased 5 for mains and monitor use (DJ and live sound). The sound is very linear and not harsh like some horns can be. Bass is punchy, not loose at all. I haven't paired them with the subs yet, but I'm sure they'll be great. A couple of the cabs have a little knock if you shake them, probably a loose wiring harness to one of the drivers. It doesn't worry me and does not happen when set up and playing ( I only hear it when I'm moving them around to mount on poles, etc.). The back panel gets a bit warm under operation, but I suspect that it's part of the heat sink so, OK.

Good speaker but with quality issues
First off B&H is an amazing company with outstanding customer service. JBL on the other hand needs serious improvement. The first set of 612 had something rattling inside (most likely cable harness). I was advised by JBL customer service (after countless hours on the phone) to replace them. B&H quickly send out replacements to find out that new pair rattles too. Called JBL again and asked to place a quality complain to engineering. Im planning to find a local JBL service to open them up and understand what needs to be done to correct the issue. My 612 are made in Mexico.

Great Kit for Powered Speakers byJBL
This is a great, well put-together package deal of dual JBL speakers, stands, and bags. Definitely meets or exceeds my expectations. I'm a pro AV guy (residential 8ohm that dabbles in weekend DJ and backyard style parties and movie nights. The JBL EON 612s are perfect for my needs. I searched long and hard for the right package and compared pricing with other major vendors online, too. Kept coming back to B&H Photo Video for this package. Shipped quickly and came as/when expected. Would definitely recommend it to others.

Malfunctioned after 3 gigs
I purchased two EON610's in April, 2016. We perform at festivals on a regular basis, but do have to set up sound occasionally for local gigs. I used this speaker as a monitor 3 times. It was adequate for the price. I plugged it in yesterday for a gig today and it sounded like a plane taking off. To get warranty work done, I have to drive 220 miles or pay for shipping. there. It is not worth saving money on a product that has this reliability.

Solid Speakers for the Price
I purchased these speakers to use for my companies award ceremony twice a year as well as an assortment of other professional events. The speakers have sounded great from day one and I've never had any issue with them. The best part about these speakers is that a presenter can stand right next to them and there is no feedback. I've tested these while standing next to them and had to yell in order to get feedback. This was a great buy!

So let down by this speaker
So it's heavier then the older one. The SPL is lower then the older one. It's not as loud. The low end is not as good. It seems cheap. And it's not as durable. Why did JBL make this? Were they trying to get customers to stop buying the JBL? If you need an ok speaker that is not too expensive this might be good. But if you love the EON before this, then you may not like this speaker.

Solid Kit
This kit is all about quality. From the JBL speaker, the high quality xlr cable w/neutrik connectors with easily adjustable sturdy stand. But you also get the JBL padded speaker which again speaks quality and provides protection during transport and from collecting dust. I purchased two sets for instant ability for larger venues and great stereo music! Highly Recommended!

Great for reinforcement, but needs help @ the low end.
Nice speakers for portable PA use. I use a custom built 3-way system (mixercrossoverpower amps2/15/18 passive speakers) and wanted a lighter, portable system. This does the trick at a great price but clearly lacks the low end power, so I'd recommend adding a sub. It's perfect as reinforcement for my existing system or as floor monitors when needed.

Big Sound, Good Quality
Used this product with a set of Shure Lavalier mics for a 2 day presentation. Sound was great. Easy to setup. Had two microphones attached. This speaker provided for individual volume control which made it convenient since all presenters had varying speech volume. Good product. Has bluetooth feature but not for streaming music, only controls.

This was easy to install, works great and the people at JBL are a real pleasure to work with. I had a question and called tech support. Good at a very reasonable price
I purchased to use these as a backyard patio speaker and work great, clear voice, ok on bass(if turned up) but will need a sub (I just dont use it that loud) the Bluetooth ONLY controls the equalizer and NOT the volume and wasnt a big deal because I have an extra bt I plugged into the male plug. Great price, great sound
I ordered two of these for my patio. It sounds like a dj is in the yard. I run it off my watch. I also ordered the 18inch sub. It says Bluetooth but only runs the eq. Need a Bluetooth receiver to run tablet or phone streams. I received a message from B&H in them for 250.00 each. Didnt disappoint. Thanks to B&H
