Bose Companion 20 Multimedia Speaker System

BOSE QUALITY.
After trying a two speaker set of a different brand at twice the money, (not from B & H ) I returned them. Bought my second set of the Bose Companion 20 for my new PC from B & H. The sound is rich, full, and solid bass with no back ground static. I don't believe there is a desk top PC speaker set any better at any price. All positives, no negatives.

One very minor flaw
These speakers are fantastic overall but they have one very minor flaw. If you're only sending left or right channel audio to the speakers, you'll still hear a very faint amount of that sound leaking out of the other speaker as well. I called Bose about this and they acknowledged that they do that. Not really a big deal unless you're using them in a studio setting, and even then you can probably just ignore it. I was just surprised that a set of Bose speakers would do that.

This is BEST in good, best, and better.
Bose is the best sound quality. You cannot argue with that. But for such a price leap above the $99 desk speakers to $249, I would expect much higher volume capability. At full blast, I can still sit at the desk and listen comfortably. For $249, it should drown out all the other noise in the room! that's all.

Superb Desktop Speakers
In the past I have purchased, and continue to use, Bose's Wave radio, Bose Mini II Soundlink speakers, and now the Bose Companion 20 Multimedia Speaker System. Awesome speakers
I read a lot of reviews before purchasing these, but the Bose Companion 20 Multimedia speaker system is awesome. I have it connected to my computer and use it for playing CDs as well as my iPod. The sound is awesome. Some say not enough bass, but I think the bass is excellent and not overwhelming nor underwhelming.

Real disappointment!!!
I'm finally looking for a replacement of these speakers after about a year of disappointing performance from the beginning. The first had to be returned because of a short or some type of malfunction. The ones that I'm replacing have eventually developed a crackling noise and the speakers are essentially blown out. All this after light use with the computer. Looking for another brand for better quality.

Mine are connected to computer workstation where my wife and I listen to CD's and she also listens to iPhone whatever ??. Bought a Stereo Mini Male to Stereo Mini Male Cable 6 foot to connect from the control unit to iPhone - cable stays in the controller all the time - she just plugs into iPhone to use the speakers. Works just as advertised. Sounds quite good and I am very pleased with unit.

Bose's Best Right Now

Excellent computer speakers
I have been using these for 2 months now and I am very happy with them. I chose them b/c I did not want a bass module - these are for an office setting, and I didn't want bass vibrating the office next door. Good Sounding Computer Speakers
Been putting off speakers for my computer for a moment. Decided it was time to buy a pair of speakers for my desk top, and went with the Bose. Just the right size speakers, along side my NEC monitor. The only draw back on the Companion 20's is, you can't reduce the bass level. If you don't mind the boom quiet nights, overall these speakers have a clean frequency response and sound.

Great Quality
Was looking for a pair of computer speakers that have nice bass. These speakers do indeed provide that! Music and movies sound great on these speakers. Really powerful and full sound. Love the little control module as well. So simple to control volume levels plus you can tap the top to quickly turn off the speakers (aka mute). Very well designed.

Sounds great and it is a great match for an iMac
Great speakers. Looks great beside the iMac but most importantly, sounds awesome. Just the right amount of bass I need on top of my desk. The volume and mute knob (that also has an input and headphone jackets) is very handy! Wish it could be connected to the computer using the USB for even better sound quality (plus it could got to to sleep when the computer sleeps). It's pricey, but worth it.

Quality speakers for affordable cost
Good speakers for video editing. I own a mac tower and the internal speakers are not strong enough for any type of audio work. These Bose speakers work well and give me a natural sound.

Great Sound
Great, full sound without requiring a separate subwoofer. I also have the Bose companion 5 speakers for my home computer, and these are just as good (for office use, where I'm not turning the volume too high, but want good sound while I'm working late).

Computer Speakers?
Sure they sound great hooked up to the PC for Video Gaming, Music, etc. But then I decided to try them instead of the speakers on my flat screen TV, grabbing the output directly from my satellite receiver. Ideal computer speakers!
I bought these to replace the Klipsch 2.1 Promedia speaker system because the bass speaker took up too much room. The Bose Companion 20 speaker system was an ideal replacement for the Klipsch. Small Speakers, High End Sound

BOSE DOES IT AGAIN
Im amazed. I needed something compact to do demos of my Zen Riffer Custom Keyboard. I hook these up to my laptop and and I'm up. Surprised at how good the bass is without a sub and all the wires. Took me some time to learn the remote. I kept turning it off by barely touching it. But I learned! You will be happy with these in lost situations.
