Love It!!!
I am just a regular guy, not a professional, like to play with the camera and learn it.I do take many many pictures and i cannot say how much I love this camera. It is just amazing. No changing lenses, crazy good pictures, great video. Just Amazing!!

Good camera with reservations
This is the second RX10 series camera and the focusing speed has definitely improved though using the DMF setting improves the center focus significantly as it does not always focus on what you want. The main defect is shooting birds against a clear sky. The picture looks good on download into a post processing program until a dehazeor HDR adjustment is applied at which point tight concentric circles appear throughout the image grouped around the... secretive
I've used the camera for a month now. I purchased it as a travel camera to avoid lugging the 30 pounds of gear for my wildlife and landscape shots for 3-day vacations. Without any hesitation I can attest to the camera's excellent results -- sharp photos, great color saturation, adaptive to virtually any +/- light conditions. The ergonomics are excellent as well. The ability to manually adjust aperture, focus, compensate etc are all at your finger... Show More

Great all-in-one camera
I bought this with a view to replacing a DSLR and 4 lenses. So far, I am very pleased. Once you get the hang of the multiple autofocus settings, it will lock focus as fast as my DSLR, and the burst shooting is amazing. The only thing it cannot do is replace my ultra wide angle lens. If it could go all the way down to say 18mm (35mm equivalent), it would be perfect.

Outstanding Camera with all the options that you need.
This is the best all-in-one solution I ever saw, the RX10 IV is the best camera out there. It comes at a price, but there's nothing else quite like it. Excellent and fast 24-600mm lens Excellent high-ISO performance Video performance not tested yet.

Excellent!
Still educating myself about its many features, but it is already performing superbly. What a fantastic lens, and autofocus is quick and reliable. Excellent photo quality. A fantastic all-in-one camera, I truly enjoy using it.

The Zeiss lens is remarkably clear all the way to 100x. The Sony Processor is so fast that it is amazing. Rick

Exceptional Camera
Bird photography is my passion. For the past 10 years I have been carrying my Canon w/500mm lens, gimbal head and tripod (28 lbs.) in the field but age has caught up with me. The RX10 IV produces unbelievably excellent images, even at 600mm (particularly flying birds) and can be hand-held while the 500 cannot. Yes, the quality has dropped a bit from A+ to simply A but I don't do wall-sized murals so I find no difference in my 11 X 14 prints. And, at less than 3 lbs. (add 4 more for tripod and ball head) my back certainly suffers less.

Amazing, Blazing Fast
I'm blown away by the speed of this camera. The RX10-IV leaves my beloved top rated Panasonic FZ-1000 and every other bridge camera I've owned or own in the dust in terms of speed, & ability to track Birds in Flight. There's a reason this camera costs 3 times as much as the FZ-1000, which is an excellent camera. As an amateur, I've never spent $1,698 on a camera before, and had not planned to, I got tired of birds whizzing out of sight as my camer... Best mirrorless period
Had Mk III ~ 1 year, have had this about 2 months. It is without question the one camera you want with you if it has to do everything, including having decent image quality. It does take some effort to learn - some complain autofocus doesn't work well, I suspect this is because they haven't bothered to learn the various autofocus modes, and select the best for their purpose. The menus are not intuitive, it really helps to read the manual and lear... Show More

Great Camera
Great camera that should suit me for many years. My order from B&H Photo was smooth, no issues. UPS delivered as promised on time, and to the door. I made a mistake in using Paypal for this international purchase, without researching fees. Paypal.ca took 4% (3 pts on exchange rate), to convert CAD to USD, thus destroying price comparisons.

Both these reviews are nonsense........Nothing wrong with the service or the product, the trouble here is the customer!

The best all purpose camera ever?
This a very complex beast that I've just started playing with. It looks and feels like a pro camera and I have no doubt for many purposes it could serve as such. I have not gotten further with my evaluation because the camera comes with almost no documentation and while some might find the menu system intuitive, I do not. I have finally managed to get a copy of Alexander White's guide which just became available. Attesting to the complexity of th... Show More

All good, except removing memory card
Have been shooting with the RX10M4 for about a week. Initial impressions are pretty good. What i like is that for the most part, it is quite sharp. As noted by others, higher ISO gets grainy quickly, but anything under 800 generally good. This is my first SONY so a lot of time is being spent with the camera in my lap, reading through the manual and making setting adjustments. The tilt-able LCD when tilted at all cancels the viewfinder. Learned th... Show More

Very Disappointed with an open-box product
I bought theSony Cyber-shot DSC-RX10 IV from Canada and I feel so bad to see the box of camera is not sealed and there is a crack on the box. It is obvious that this camera is not in its virgin status. The camera works OK, but since I am not a professional I could not find any potential deficiency with the camera. The point is that I'll always live with some worries about the potential deficiencies of the camera throughout the life of this camer... Show More

Nothing to stand up and cheer about
This isn't a bad camera. I think it's overpriced for what you get. I'm not sure how much better this is than my Lumx FZ300. There are two things that really irritate me: 1. There is an intermittent problem of some images having a vignette. I've read about this on other sites (like dpreview). It occurs with or without a filter / lens hood. 2. Why does Sony cripple a potentially good camera by not allowing us to shoot both a raw and extra fine image?

Best 1" sensor non-interchangeable camera yet
Sharp throughout the zoom range, well noise control (I would say) to ISO 1600. IS is very good. Focus is slow indoor (that is normal with a lens with this speed including interchangeable lenses cameras unless using lenses with fast speed like f1.4 or faster). Even though it's a little bit on the heavy side, but it is a very good all in one camera. Lens adapter(s) in front of lens is not recommended because it may damage the zoom motor.

I should have known better
After nearly two months of research on mirrorless cameras, I narrowed the search to the Sony brands - the RX10 iv and the a9. I went with the RX10 Miv after reading a number of reviews. As a professional sports and events photographer, I was stunned at how poorly it focused on a particular spot, and focused in general, especially with indoor sports. My darkish photos in post-processing exacerbated the ISO noise issue. Not only that, but my PE 13 ... Show More

I could not be happier.
In the past having my own business and using Hasselblad cameras then changing to digital with Canon, I was used to having great cameras. Now that I am retired I wanted and needed a lighter weight camera due to arthritis in my hands. I tried several other point and shoots but was not happy with them. This Sony fits the bill for me. It feels well built and has some weight but not too much. The 72mm Ziss lens reminds me of my Hasselblad days. I coul... Show More

better than the mark 3
There are improvements int eh mark 4 over the mark 3, unfortunately you can get 422 color straight to the memory card, its still has some rolling shutter problems but its defiantly better. and it is faster on focus over the mark 3 its noticeable. theirs a lot to the camera and you'll have to spend some serous time learning the in and outs to get the most of the camera. but its possible to get some nice photos and video with it. but you have to work with the camera its got its on nature.

Not Ready For Prime Time
I have the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX10 III which has been a good camera. Focusing is slow and it's hard to get it to focus on the desired spot but all in all it has been a good camera once you learn it's limitations. I cannot not say this about the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX10 IV. Auto focusing and noise in the images is a nightmare. The camera indicates if has focused on the subject but the images are out of focus. What a Lens!
Superb camera, a good upgrade from the mark III but a hefty price increase. The performance is excellent in all aspects as was my mark III but it is significantly faster to focus and track which is a great benefit to me. Image quality is every bit as good as any APS format. Highly recommended.

Actually, She Loves It Because It Works Great!
My wife has used this camera for two action shoots so far: a dock dog event and photographing eagles at Conowingo Dam. The verdict: best gift I've ever given! The autofocus is so quick and accurate that she's outperforming my 7D2/EF 400 f4 DO rig on the same subjects. Its convinced me to send in my 7D2 to have its AF checked. Part of the Sony's advantage comes from the fact that is light enough to be handheld, while my rig is stuck on a gimbal an... Show More
