So much for the price!
Great camera. 1/2 the weight of my 5D's so gimbal work is effortless. And Sony cameras are great in low light so even this lens is VERY usable indoors.

A Pure Beauty
For many years, I have said that 24mp FF is the sweet spot, nothing more or nothing less. This is IT. Small, light, blazingly fast AF, Excellent IQ even in low light with high ISO. This is IT. Thank you Sony for listening to all of our constructive feedback. I am using this along with my A7RIII for my Portrait and Landscape work.

Sony A7III review
I decided to replace my Canon 5D Mark III upgrading to a Sony A7III. I still own a Canon 5D Mark IV. I photograph landscapes so I can't talk about portrait work, sports or bird photography. So far, I like the Sony after using it several times at sunrise or sunset. I've compared photos taken with both the Canon 5D Mark IV and Sony A7III and frankly can't find any major differences in the IQ. Next test over the weekend, Milky Way!

Great Camera for a great price!
This camera is great. This is the second camera I own (first being A7r) but it is definitely an upgrade. There are many reviews out there in which I read before purchasing and I got to say that this camera is exactly what I expected. The only complains I have is a longer camera strap and I wish it came with a battery adapter to charge the battery on. Other than that I love using the new 10fps feature, silent shutter, Dual slots, and the long life of the new battery.

Neat camera!
Love the high quality feel, look, performance! Will sometimes glitch when looking through the view finder, but hasn't interfered with performance.

Overheating issue in the first day
The issue is "internal temp high. Allow it to cool" And I try to change battery, memory card, wait for few hours turn on and off , it didn't solve it. And I wait for one day still same thing happened.

Excellent Camera!
All I ever shot with is the Sony system. I love the mirrorless as it is smaller and lighter, Sony is so motivated on the technology. I originally bought it as a back up for my a7 m2, and still use it, as now I don't have to change lenses as frequently, while i clen sensor on a7 m2. Both are superbly great cameras. I cant see an image quality difference between the two on my MacPro 15", yet. I shot an early morning first light on a lake and foregr... Show More

Huge step up from A7ii
This is better than the A7ii in every way: speed, handling, image quality (specifically the warmth of the colors). What else is there to say? It's nearly perfect.

Complex but Excellent!
Sony has outdone itself again. The new a7iii is a fine piece of photographic equipment. It has a plethora of options, electronic bells and whistles, and a wonderful sensor (the details have been exhaustively analyzed online). My only difficulty has been navigating the EXTENSIVE menu structure. Trying to locate things can be off-putting. Nonetheless, this is a huge step forward for mirrorless technology. Nikon and Canon beware!

Pro video shooter in love with the A73
Pros. Too many to mention, so I'll just mention a few drawbacks. 1. The EVF is not as sharp/clear as I would like it. But still very usable. 2. The exposure override button is too easy to accidentally adjust. And that is all. From a pro that moved from Canon four years ago, and own A7S & A7R2 and now this, this is a superb camera, and for the price - WOW! I just shot a prime lens 4K video comparison (for myself) with a Canon 1DX2, and to my surprise it knocked the Canon out of the park, even at 100mb/s.

Thank God For The New Battery Low Light No Great Shakes
I had an A7RII and loved it. However, the battery was so bad that I usually ran it down, whilst trying to figure out the menus. Don't believe all the "spectacular" low light performance. It is virtually identical to the A7RII and probably the A7RIII. I too LOT'S of photos in low light and wrestled with trying to tell them apart. Same noise is usually visible. However, there is a slight advantage in that you can shoot a tad faster. How about 1/60th instead of 1/40? No big deal. However, I saved enough to get a faster lens. That is the only way you will get spectacular low light performance.

I just love this camera! but...
I took me a little while to figure out the functions and how access them, but once you get yo know your camera better you just have a great time playing with it. The only issue I found was with the synchronization between the Godox speed light I bought and the Sigma MC-11 adapter for canon to sony. The AF light on the camera wont turn on while using this adapter, and given that the mirrorless system doesn't use infrared through the speed lig... Show More

Amazing camera
I got it from B&H only 1 week includes shipping time (8/16/18). I shot around 200 photos in the Butterfly Farm in San Diego yesterday (8/19). I got all better photos compare with last month photos by my Sony A7II. I used auto focus with Sony Macro lens 90mm.

Outstanding camera and lens! Highly recommend!
I did not think that I'd like the Sony a7III body as much as I did-but I do! Like the way it feels in my hands, the placement of the controls, even the weight isn't too bad-not like a micro 4/3rds but still pretty good. I primarily bought the body for its dynamic range and because I missed owning a full-frame sensor body. I am not at all disappointed. My last full frame was the canon 5dmiii and the Sony truly delivers. The Sony 24-105mm lens is very sharp and a great lens to use with the a7III. I highly recommend both!

Perplexing, but good
I love the Sony A7III sensor. It's great, even in very low light. I find the dynamic range to be impressive. I love that in auto ISO it strives to keep the ISO as low as possible. If you're willing to buy Sony native auto-focus lenses, it's pretty much a no-brainer. Clearly, that's what Sony imagined everyone would do, because they cut a lot of corners on all other aspects of the design. My opinions are informed by years of shooting wit... Show More

The new standard for mirrorless.
If you're reading this, you know why you're here. It really is that awesome. Low light is incredible, AF is really impressive, IQ is spot on, the battery life doesn't get talked about enough. My only cons are getting used to the ergos, and I think the weather sealing is lacking. Build quality is NOT on par with Nikon or Canon pro DSLRs, it's just not, but then I don't really need it to be when my images come out consistently better than w... Show More

From Nikon to Sony!
I've had the 7 iii for almost two weeks now. All I can say is if you're on the fence about upgrading to a full-frame mirrorless system, pull the trigger (or push the shutter, ha!) The 7 iii body is lightweight, making it extremely portable and this little beast packs a punch of incredible features. I was hesitant about mirrorless technology and had been a faithful Nikon user for 10+ years. Needless to say, I am beyond blown away by the ... Show More

A7iii is definitely the best camera available at this price range.
Amazing autofocus in both stills and videos. Eye AF extremely useful specially for event; a very innovative feature from Sony. The slow motion video at 120 FPS HD is brilliant.

Incredible Camera
I'm coming from a Canon 6D and the most obvious difference between the two is the autofocus system, which has been blowing my mind. Eye AF is magical, and the coverage of focus points across the frame really makes life much easier. I'm still learning how to use it all properly, but really enjoying it so far. A lot of people complain about the menu system (and I haven't used previous Sony cameras so I can't compare against those) but I don't ... Show More

Excellent camera, software a bit buggy
I bought a Sony a7iii a week ago. I got two lenses, the kit lens (f3.5-5.6/28-70mm), and the f1.8/85mm lens. My primary use case is recording videos of myself using a tripod in my home (hence my interest in the features below). With a new toy, I had to play with it a bunch. As a camera, it works better than any camera I've ever used. I brought it on a camping trip, and was amazed at how late into the evening I was able to take reasonably cle... Show More

Almost Great!
So excited to get my new camera and the lens, Sony FE 24-105 G OSS, arrived the next day. Thank you for getting back-ordered merchandise out so quickly. Sadly, five days later I had to ship it back to Connecticut for service! I had purchased new SD cards, 64MB Extreme to match the speed of my new camera and Slot 1 on the camera would not read them. This camera has two card slots. Slot 2 worked great, but Slot 1 no. Slot 1 would read other small... Show More
