Great camera and lens
I've only had my Sony A7 II with the FE 28-70mm lens for a wk now and I just been getting to know it I've been a Nikon shooter up to now. I haven't found it too difficult making the transition,so far, however I've just been shooting around the house. I've been able to get show stopper shots of one of our dogs with no photoshopping. The camera really zooms the eyes in well without any effort! I'm basically a landscape photographer. I've been getti... Show More

Awesome camera
I love how a mirrorless has the abilities of a DSLR. Image is crisp, the color is awesome. Only con is that the lenses are pricey.

Fantastic Camera. Super Satisfied With My Decision
I've been using this camera exclusively for the last few months along with the Sony 16-35 F4 lense. The image quality has been superb. I've been very excited to see how well this camera performs in low light conditions. The dynamic range is excellent and I've become a huge fan of the EVF. Focus peaking has been an awesome feature coming from the Nikon world. Overall I would highly reccomend this camera.

Full-frame performance, beautiful images!
I have used this camera for over a year along with my Sony a7R II and extremely pleased with the full-frame resolution and images it produces in my portrait and landscape work. I previously used the Sony a6300 in this capacity, which is a fine camera for the size and expense, but even the finest APS-C sensor can not match the resolution of this full-frame camera. If you're trying to decide between this camera and an a6300/6500, I would choose the... Show More

My Introduction into Mirrorless
People raved about mirrorless , so I gave it a try. I have to say I was very impressed with this camera. I am a long time film shooter from 35mm, medium format, and 4x5 view cameras. Digital, I have been exclusive to Canon and Nikon DSLR. Why? Because I hated Electric Viewfinders. I have to say that I love EVF now. Do I prefer them? Not particularly, meaning it really doesn't matter to me, but truly appreciate the advantages that it brings to the... Show More

Perfect for me!
I've owned the Nikon d600 & 800, Canon 5D iii and the Sony RX1 rii. They are all great cameras, but the size, quality and ease to use this A7ii paired with the Zeiss 55mm 1.8 is magic for me. LOVE IT!!!

Great Travel Option!
I am in love with this camera! My main kit is a 5D Mkii and a 5Ds, predominantly Sigma Art primes (24, 35, 50 and 85) and zooms 24-70 and 70-200. With filters and accessories a HEAVY kit to lug around... So, I bought the A7ii with a 24-70 f4 and the 16-35 as a travel rig and I couldn't be happier! Still getting used to working the menus but - manual mode is manual mode and as it's my preferred method of exposing - there's not much of a learning c... Show More

Sony does not disappoint!!
Finally put it through its paces, and I am very happy with the upgrade from a NEX-7. It does take up more space, due to the lenses, but the picture quality is what I was looking for. Extremely happy with the lenses I purchased (70-300 G, and used 24-70 kit lens). Some day I might upgrade the 24-70, but for now it works fine. I was pleasantly surprised by the 50mm, F1.8 and its sharpness. This body is what I thought it would be, and I am a committed Sony supporter!!

A Great FE Camera for first time FE camera user.
I used to have the a6000 with 1670mm lens but after watching Jason Lanier's youtube videos about 1000 times, I was fully convinced that I wanted to upgrade to FE camera with FE lenses. I am not a pro-photographer but taking pictures is my dear hobby. Mostly portraits for my family during vacations and my kids school performances. I was deciding in between a7II & a7RII (but not a7s ii b/c no much interested in video). Regardless the price, I didn'... Show More

Great upgrade from a6000
I had a Sony a6000 and wanted to upgrade to FF and to have a slightly bigger camera as the a6000 was a bit too small for me. This is great camera so far.

A bit of a learning curve, but worth it.
I've had this new camera for over a month and I'm liking it more and more. A lifelong Canon user, it was a hard sell for me at the beginning, but after test driving the camera in the store it all made sense. Big shout out to Elvis who helped me out in the store.

Very happy
I purchased this camera to replace my Canon t5i after doing weeks of research. I shoot mainly street photography. I purchased the Sony a7 II with the Zeiss Loxia 35mm lens. While there may not be a perfect camera, the a7 II is beyond satisfactory. The optics are great. I love the Lens Peaking and Focus Magnifier. The four user programmable buttons allow for near complete customization and a well placed Function (FN) button allows for optimal cont... Show More

Perfect......at least to me.
Sold all my Canon lenses and cameras to try this camera. I'm in love with it. Great sensor, smaller, kit lens is really good. Coming from Canon where the kit lenses are quite bad it was a surprise the quality the included lens has. I'm using it with old adapted lenses too. Having ibis is a great thing. Now they have a decent lens line. Lens are expensive but there are some gems on the line . Auto focus is quite slow but not too bad as some people reports.

Superbly Crafted & Versatile
Accepting Canon lenses is a big deal. I have EF 16-35 f/2.8, TS-E 24mm f/3.5L, 28mm f/1.8, 50mm f/1.4, 85mm f/1.8, 100mm f/2.8 Macro, 50mm f/2.4 Macro, 135mm f/2.8 Soft Focus, 200mm f/2.8L + Canon FD 80-200L f/4 Zoom, FD 100-300 f/5.6 Zoom and 300mm f/2.8L. With Metabones adapter, 9 EF lenses can be fitted with AF and data to the body. Notice that all of my lenses are standard builds without image stabilization. I think IS adds unnecessary cost a... Great Camera !
I switched to this camera from a canon 60d. The image quality is excellent and the size is awesome. While the autofocus is not as good as pro-level DLSRs, It does just fine in 90% of shooting situations. It does miss focus in dark lighting but even DSLRs have trouble in these lighting conditions. If you are looking to get into Full Frame cameras this is a great place to start.

Lot of things missed
- I think i updated from A7 because of the IBIS and because A7 was the first one and this would be a great improvement. BUT . . . - IBIS just fully works with certain lenses, even with Zeiss ones maded for E mount, the IBIS just work with 3 axis instead of 5. -Aperture priority will stuck speed in 1/60 - The auto ISO is great and really helpfull, but you cant set another speed under 1/60 or even you cant set any speed because there is no option! ... Amazing camera for the price!
Chose this out of the other A7 bodies because of the affordability. Loving this camera so far. Very lightweight & easy to carry around. The only negative I have with this camera is it doesn't have a fully articulating monitor. Would've been great to have for photos & videos. And then of course battery life. I'll just have to buy extra batteries, which I don't mind as much.

Love it
At first I was hesitant to jump ship but to me Sony really isn't much of a learning curve imo, and is easy to learn the system. I've been using Metabones Fd adapter and been enjoying it quite a bit. Looking forward to other legacy options down the line! Shots that I've taken are incredible (I find I have way more keepers) and looking through the EVF to review the images blow me away. Touchless shutter is awesome (some really cool other apps too) ... Show More
