Great fast Drive
I purchased to attach to my laptop for backup drive. It is very simple to install and use. Very small and portable. It works very fast. I strongly recommend it for the 2nd drive.

Amazing device
I had the 500GB, exchanged for this one that have a good price, the 2TB is still expensive. Small, fast and reliable. I use it with velcro on my Macbook Pro lid, comes with USB C to USB C and USB C to USB A 3.0 cables.

Extend your MacBook Pro space
If you have a USB C port on your computer this is a must get! Compared to other usb 3.1 drives this is way faster. Note if you plan to use the Apple dongle to transfer files over 500gb it will take about an hour and if you buy a usb3.1 to usb C cable it will take about 35min for over 500gb if you use this drive usb c to usb c it will take 15 min to transfer over 500gb. Worth buying!

Small Solid-State Drive
I have had this drive only a couple of weeks, but so far I like it because it is small, compact, and fast. I hope it will be dependable and last a while.

Good Storage for Travel
This is a physically small SSD 500 G drive. Since it is solid state, I have less concern about mechanical failures due to jarring in travel. My primary reason for purchase was to transport files when doing business travel and back up photographs when vacationing. Since it is USB powered, no additional power supply is needed. It is working well and I have had no problems. I intend to install the supplied application that will allow password protection, but I have not done so yet.

My main drive
So far this drive is acting as my main startup drive for my 2015 iMac and it is booting up extremely fast. I also love the compact size of this drive. It is a must have drive.

speed demon for editing news on a laptop
speed transfer 7gig file in under 1 min. edit pkg in 24 min an on TV in 30min. seemless editing on a new mac pro laptop and a one star edit program from adobe editing software that should of died in 1996.

Works Well
Ive had this SSD for about a year now and it has been serving me well. I use it to edit video/photo projects straight from the drive via USB 3.0. Wires are very sturdy and have held up well, granted I havent been moving around with this SSD a lot. Four stars because going from Mac OS to Windows and vice versa is not an easy task to complete, unless you formatted it to read & write for both operating systems right when you got it.

Fast ssd
I am a big fan of this ssd! I can edit 4k 60p gh5 footage directly from this thing! Need to connect via USB C though, as regular usb 3.0 will not give enough speed. Luckily

Unable to format with Apples Disk Utility, Mac OS 10.14.3
I purchased this and a LaCie Portable SSD for backup devices for my 2018 Mac mini. They both have the same speed. I have had no problem formatting the LaCie unit with Disk Utility and creating multiple APFS encrypted volumes. When I try to format the T5, as either HFS+ or APFS, I get an error 100% of the time. I have tried 3 different computers, 2 different versions of Mac OS (10.13 and 10.14), and have even tried formatting it from the command line. Excellent Product
I recently decided to put all my music files on one drive. With this fast drive it took me just under an hour to upload 12700+ music files from two drives into the the 500GB SSD. Small, Fast and Good Looking!
These drives are a game changer for me! My First AC recommended this drive to me and I absolutely love them - I got 2 now. The SSD is super fast and the small form factor doesnt take up much room in my bag or on my workstation.

Portable Drive
It turned out to be exactly what I expected except for speed. I found it no faster than my WD elements drive. The cost between the two is about the same but elements has 4 times the storage. Note Elements is not a SSD. The Samsung is smaller and fit nicely in a shirt pocket. I would but it again...

So far so good!
I just purchased this drive, connected it to my computer and backed up some files. So far so good. It was easy to set up. I am not giving it a five star at this time because I have not used it for any appreciable time.

Super fast!
Smaller than expected, amazingly compact, like having a filing cabinet the size of a book of matches! Faster than expected ... lightning fast ... there are faster (more expensive) Thunderbolt drives, but this one continues to amaze me with its speed. Maybe a bit pricey compared to regular mobile hard drives, but Im spoiled now.

This thing is fast, works great
I was a bit reluctant to purchase a MacBook Pro with only 250 GB hard drive. I asked about ordering a fast SSD drive that I could create instruction videos from and this Samsung SSD drive has been perfect. I installed my large programs, Final Cut, Logic Pro, Camtasia, on the Samsung SSD and everything works great. No hiccups, no lagging. Thanks again B&H.

Top of the line.
I have used many different brands of HDDs and SSDs over the last 15 years and I can say without a doubt that I am very comfortable using the Samsung T5 line of SSDs. They are fast, reliable and have never let me down. I shoot and edit 80 SDE weddings a year and need a fast ssd to make editing as quick as possible and when the drive is full I can transfer all the data to a large storage drive with fast transfer speeds.

Speeeedy little drive!
Plug it in and youre to play or work. Used as a working drive for editing photos at a University. We have a shared work room with writers and graphic designers, so this little drive allows my photographers to do do their photo editing on any one of several computers. And when necessary I can plug it in and access their photos needed for a particular job. We back up to campus servers for long term storage which can be slow access, so these speedy little drives are a great asset to our workflow.

Compact and Reliable
I havent had it long enough to judge long-term reliability, but feel safe with samsung products. I would recommend it. The only issue with ssd storage these days is how much to have versus cloud storage. Pricing and speed will be interesting to watch over the next few years.
