Crisp audio, good with lavalier
Purchased this with a Polsen PL-2W lavalier mic -- by itself the H1 has very poor wind performance (perhaps improved with a wind screen) but with a phantom-power lavalier the H1 turns into a versatile recording platform. The plastic body itself is a bit creaky and probably won't withstand a lot of abuse, but not a major issue for me. Haven't tried it in real shoot yet but tests seem good so far.

As good as other $100 lav mics
I misplaced the lav mic that came with my Rode Wireless Filmmaker Kit. The Rode lav mic by itself is $100. That seemed crazy expensive. This mic made a great replacement. I can't detect any difference in quality! This Polsen mic produces the same clean crisp audio. Plus I can afford to buy extras as backups!

Reliable, inexpensive mic.
I use this mic to record vows/speech for wedding videos, with a Zoom H1. It works great as a mono mic, picks up speech great, doesn't come loose from its input jack, and works great off of plugin power.

Excellent
I have a small voice and this fixes that! Very happy there is no need to shout. It picks up my voice whether on my lapel or clipped to my book to pick up others. Nice length of cord as well.
