Does the job
Off and on for a decade, I thought about making a Podcast. So when I saw this microphone at a good price, I decided to give it a shot. I record of an iPhone 6s Plus in GarageBand, then use iCloud to move the files to the Mac, where I use GarageBand to do final production. The Polsen microphone gets the job done. If I really do get into Podcasting, I will get a second microphone that is USB. For just playing around to learn about Podcasting, this is perfect. Would also be great for any audio voice recording - say interviews for print journalism or to record living history type memories.

Very nice for office, studio and field for smartphones
Purchased one from the used department. These mikes provide the right connection for smartphones without any extra adapters. These mikes also provide 2 levels of audio input that work very well if mike if used with windscreen. They also provide a nice headphone monitor but as allows monitor from the mike it may not be 100% accurate as to what is recorded. Finally is price, compared to many of the dedicated video field mikes I really like this.

Heavy Duty MoJo Phone
I am not a Polsen's fan, but this mic won me. It is and heavy duty, all-road, mic - perfect for mobile journalism on the field. It has a very good response to sound/voice. It can be use with good results even for voice over. Of course, if you buy this as a studio microphone, you will be disappointed... To me it is better than the iRIG mic with the TRRS connector. And the price-quality ratio is great. This is a buy.

Better than built in....
If you thought Apple spent time and money on your built in microphone then think again. This mic makes everything we record on the ipad sound professional. It is weird to here the playback and notice such a difference. Given the price paid for this mic....definitely a value added component for you budding podcasters.

Terrible sound and noticeable delay
Wanted a simple solution to get better audio into and iPad for use with an audio streaming app for language translation. Did not find it in this product.The audio quality is terrible, for one, and the supposedly direct output for headphones has a noticeable delay, making this product unusable. Returned to B&H.

Worked better than my Irig for 1/2 the price
I use this mic for Garage band and my podcast Devoted Witness and had no problems in the field. I am amazed at the quality, It has good weight and a crisp sound. the only down is hand noise when holding it. awesome price awesome quality. -Pastor John

Not recommended.
Did not like using this to record audio onto my LG G4. Made a digital hissing/clicking sound and could not remedy even with proper mic placement. I gave the mic away. Unhappy.
