Perfect companion for your DSLR I recently took the Polsen CS-88A with me to shoot event recap videography for a brands activation at an outdoor music festival. Works as advertised
Low frequency roll off, +/- 10 db are all effective. Not significantly different than the built in mics on my H1 when close up. Worked well at a reasonable distance when recording voice for a YouTube video. Seems to have good volume at the +10 setting, so in that regard is much better than my Rode SVM. Will consider the Polsen stereo mic in the future. Power LED is on the back, so when recording myself I can see leaving it turned on when finished with a session. Have not used it outside or directly on a camera yet.

Sound quality
Quality was clear but had to run it through a noise reduction to clean up in wanted frequencies that make it sounds like you were recording in high wind,
