Great lens for the price
Great lens manual focus works well i like it but It is hard to get some shot indoor due to the 50mm effect on a mft

My 4/3 "Nifty Fifty"
Great little lens on my Olympus OM-D-E10 II. This lens stays on my camera at least 80% of the time. Sharp optics and a great buy from B&H Photo. This is a lens that belongs on your camera (you won't regret it). Unlike the Olympus 25mm it even comes with a hood and for now a three year warranty.

For the price, you can't go wrong with this lens
I needed a lens for low light and this hit the spot. The bokeh this gives is way beyond what my G7 kit lens could do at f3.5. It's a breeze to focus despite being fly by wire with focus peaking and the ring is nice and smooth. Only downside is that it doesn't have IS and neither does my G7 so shootinghandheld video is pretty much not an option. If you have the GH5 or G85 with IBIS it would probably be okay.

Decent starter lens
This lens will not knock your socks off, but it does get the job done reliably, and is affordable. Bokeh is not very pronounced, and does not look as smooth as other prime lenses. It's a decent walking around, all-purpose lens. It's not something you can pull focus with, but it does work nicely with touchscreen autofocus on the GH4. It's compact and light, so it usually goes in my bag.

Sweet lens, great depth of field
Great lens for a great price! Good in low light, very crisp. Bokeh is amazing on this guy. The lens hood DOES fit on, just unscrew the plastic ring at the front of the lens. I just wish it had the same stabilization as my 14-140 f 3.5 - 5.6 kit lens.

Great Little Performer
I recently took this great little lens with me on a trip to Paris and am happy to report that it performed with great results for my required shooting. I shoot as a hobbyist and enjoy street photography, hence why I enjoy using the smaller M4/3 cameras and lenses for carrying around with me on long days. I have read other reviewers complaining about the build quality of this lens, and I have to admit it is a little on the light side and has the m... Show More

This Lumix 25mm f/1.7 Prime is an Absolutely Wonderful Lens!
This lens is excellent! Just get it! Even not considering the low on-sale price, I find this lens a superb value. It is sharp at all aperture openings, it is fast enough to isolate a subject from the background, it has a very useful close focus range (note that it is not a macro lens), auto focus with my Panasonic GX7 is as fast as any lens I have (and I own 5 other Lumix lenses), and surprise to me at this price range, it has a metal bayonet mou... For the price... unbeatable.
Great for Stills. Pretty good for video. Not a fan of the focus by wire, but that's the thing nowadays w these low budget native lenses.Very sharp w good color rendition. AF is as fast and accurate as you need it to be in 95% of situations. Lightweight and compact. And hey Panasonic, THANK YOU for including a lens hood. Nothing remarkable about it, but gets the job done quite well for the budget price. No doubt a dependable choice for vloggers, et... Show More

Great lens
Great lens nice and sharp use for wedding as it's good in low light and as a true 50mm it works great for the bride, groom and minister full body shot with GH5.

Awesome Lens for Price!
This is a great lens on the GH5! I grabbed it on sale and it was worth every penny. The shallow depth of field is great and the bokeh is nice. It has a tad bit of strange DOF issues on close-ups, but who can be picky with a price under $200?! Super light for run'n'gun and can't go wrong with nifty 50 equiv.

Great walk around lens
In first use, from f11 to wide open found rendition and sharpness excellent even at slow shutter speeds. Works fine with my Olympus EM5 so lack of anti-shake in lens not an issue. so far, so good

This lens rocks!
This lens rocks! It was affordable, and lets me take close up views of objects and I like the cinematic views on my pictures. Didn't mind that I is manual focusing only. I would recommend it to my friends and family.

A very nice lens
I wanted a fast prime lens mainly for interior work. This lens takes me back to my film days with the outstanding Olympus OM-2n.

Great Value!
What can i say - Really a great lens for the money - with the GH5 - this is my 50. Can'tnot have one of these.

Very good lens for its price point.
I have used this lens on an Olympus PEN E-P3 and OM-D E-M1 for about a month. The lens is very light and is built of mostly plastic; although, it feels well built. It comes with a hood, that is secure and looks pretty good. The lens opens up to f1.7 which I used often. The pics at f1.7 are good but get sharper by f2.8. Thereafter, I don't notice much increase in sharpness. The lens seems to focus quickly; although, I don't know if the lens or cam... Show More

So far quite nice
I've only had this a couple weeks, but so far it has lived up to both it's reputation and my expectations. Sufficiently sharp (I haven't spent hours pixel peeping though) and generates nice images, and a great value. I find I like using this better than my first gen Panasonic 20mm F.17 as it focuses much quicker and I am willing to sacrifice the slightly wider FOV for the focus speed.

Very nice for the price!
I'm really happy with how fast this lens is for the price. It isn't the sharpest or smallest, but I'm happy with the 50mm equivalent focal length - and it is nice and bright, light, and has a smooth focus ring. It seems like a no-brainer to add to your M43 collection to get a great normal prime that fits the budget - way better than any of the kit zooms. This would probably be my first recommendation to anybody looking for their first prime for M43. I also hear great things about the 20mm f/1.7, but I managed to get this on sale for about 1/2 the cost.

So far so Good
New camera user here...seems sharp, the focus ring is very smooth. 1.7 gives that nice blurry background.

Nice lens to pair with the G85 kit lens
I've enjoyed this as a nice, affordable and fast addition to my fairly small lens collection. the low minimum f stop allows me to get some pretty, low DOF shots

Pretty sick
Overall, really strong lenses for their price. Minor issues such as no flash when taking a photo, but everything else works perfectly.

Great lens for the price
I bought this lens for my wife's Lumix G7 and she loves this lens. Now she can shoot in low light. For the price , the aperture and sharpness of the lens can't be beat by any other lens. Please be aware that this lens is made for the amateur who wants a fast lens. Don't try to campare the quality to high end lenses in full frame cameras. In my humble opinion, you get much more for what you pay for.

Fabulous lens
Lightweight, compact and solid. Used with my GH5. Crop factor makes it a perfect nifty fifty (35mm) equivalent.

Best value MFT lens
By far the best value lens in the Micro Four Thirds system. I use this lens primarily for shooting video with my Lumix G85. While the optics quality is outstanding, I can't give it 5 stars because of the cheap plastic build.

Excellent little lens
I was looking for an alternative to the 14-150 II that I currently use on my Olympus EM10 II while hashing / hiking, and decided to look at the prime offerings from both Olympus and Panasonic, primarily because most of the images I was taking appeared to be at the wide end of my lens' zoom range, and the main problem I was running into was excessive noise under low light conditions. I already have the Olympus 17mm F1.8, but that was a bit too wid... Show More
