Wide is beautiful
This is an amazing lens. Super wide angle, beautiful images can be captured. I previously owned the Olympus 7-14mm Pro, but this lens is much more useful with the filter ring on front - I can add ND filters for very bright exteriors. All metal construction and still lighter than the Olympus. Don't regret, buy it!

Glad I waited
I've had my GX8 for a year and thought I needed more wide angle coverage. Yes, they had a 7-14, but rumor had it a Pan/Leica 8-18 would be coming soon. Glad I waited, this lens has the quality I've come to expect. The images are from the Breakers in Newport, R.I., and are my first shots with this lens.

Sweet Lens
This Leica lens is exactly what I expected, solid build, good weight and super sharp. I've shot the Olympus 7-14, which is a fantastic lens, but I like the Leica since it is smaller, lighter and allows for a filter to be added. I was looking at this and the sale price helped me make the decision.

Hefty lens. Sharp and functional with my GH5
This was recently added to my lens kit for my GH4s and GH5. With the GH5's IBIS, it's buttery smooth. Video and images are tack sharp. I've never owned a lens that wasn't a straight 2.8, but to jump only to f/4 through the zoom range, that's really not a big deal. I definitely recommend it.

Very nice!
I took this out recently mounted on my Oly EM-1 II for several hours of street photography and am delighted with the results. I chose this one over the Oly 7-14 since the Leica accepts screw-in filters to use for my landscape photography, and am very satisfied that I made the best choice.

Great Lens!
I had concerns going in since I was use to the Olympus Pro lens and debated getting another Olympus lens. But after a few weeks of use the lens has worked great and was $200 cheaper than the Olympus. Use this lens 90% of time now specifically for vlogging and landscape shots.

Great wide-angle lens
I am very happy with the sharpness of this lens throughout the entire focal range. Exceptional lens for astrophotography where the extra stop of light results in significantly better images. I recommend this lens without reservation.

Excellent purchase - highly recommend it.
This is my go to lens for travel. Far nicer than the bulky Olympus equivalent. It is relatively light and its optical quality is outstanding. The zoom range is perfect for most of my wide angle requirements.

Finally a great WA from Panny
Love this lens. Also love my awesome 7-14mm Olympus but I cannot filter the front so this Panny is the perfect solution for polarizer and other filters. And its very sharp even in the corners. Super happy.

Terrific MFT Lens
Great construction and smooth functioning. I also have the Panasonic 12-35 which is just as sharp, but the colors on the Leica are more vibrant and the wider end is very useful.

Leica 8-18
The lens is very solid, easy to use. Film some videos with this lens and it's just great. Not a fish eye but very very wide and sharp ,it's awesome. happy with my purchase.
