Best macro for m4/3 so far
I believe this is the best option for macro photography for m4/3 system regardless the price, and given the price under $ it is a bargain.I am not expert for image quality but comparing to my old Nikkor AF60/2.8 on D300, this produces 1:1 macro with sharper image, and much better bokeh. It produces better portrait picture than my 14-42 kit lens too. It's very well built, the focus ring feels good at hand, and it's weather-proof. The focus speed i... Show More

One of the best Macro lenses, EVER.
This a great macro lens and also a very very good Portrait lens. It is wonderful on the Olympus OM-D. I also recommend The Olympus 2 led Macro arm light ( MAL-1 )

Sharpest lens I've ever owned!
I have owned several Olympus lenses, including the 12-60mm f2.8-4.0 and the 50mm f2 macro, but this lens simply out-resolves them all. The focus is fast, silent, and deadly accurate. The images are razor sharp, and the bokeh is beautiful. And it is weather proof, so it's the perfect compliment to my OMD. No complaints.

Super sharp macro lens! Absolutely love it. And don't limit yourself to macro with this lens, great for portraits as well!

Fantastic macro lens
I use this lens on my Olympues EPL-2 with the Olympus ring flash. I primarily use it for dental photography and it works great. Very fast autofocus, light weight, and ergonomic. The images created with this lens are extremely sharp and natural in appearance. I upgraded from the four thirds 50mm macro and can say that the sharpness is on par with this lens.

Displacing Pan/Leica 45mm Macro on GH2
I shoot a lot of hand held insect macros, and a significant percentage of these are at 1:1 This lens has displaced my Pan/Leica 45mm because the working distance is greater (really helps as I usually have a Metz 15MS-1 ring flash mounted on the front of the lens) and the the nifty rotary switch on the side of the lens allows much quicker setting to 1:1 than on the Pan/Leice. Photo quality appears at least on a par with the Pan/Leica. My only disa... Show More
