Sound that truly captivates you.
Back in the early 80s, my dad had the Sennheiser MKE 2002 binaural recording microphones and dummy head, which I used to record local bands using a reel-to-reel deck. It was cumbersomebut provided an amazing sound space when played back thru their open-air headphones. This is a modern version that provides obvious portability unavailable in the previous iteration. I saw some YouTube videos that sparked my interest again, so I bought them. I still need to get them out and try them more, but my initial test was impressive.

Sound and mics are great
But I had really bad experience using the headset on a plane. Changes in pressure and tight isolation is not good for good for your ears. Ended up with otitis in both ears. Otherwise the microphones are great, as well as the sound.

Unique High Quality Listening and Recording Device
I've been testing the Sennheiser Ambeo headsets for a couple of weeks and have reached some preliminary conclusions. Right off the bat, I'll say they are excellent headphones, with a full tone, good bass, and clear mids and highs. A must for the DIY field recordist
These things are so cool. User friendly, incognito and all you need is your phone. They go in a little soft bag that fits in your coat pocket...mine will live there throughout the winter. Monitoring options are cool, but take a minute to get used to via the remote. Sound is fantastic, however, sitting behind a drum kit reveals why they won't be replacing my ribbons or LDCs for drum duties. Kinda silly to even think that anyway. I did record a bit of a sound check from the stage perspective and it sounded super realistic. Kinda freaked out everyone that put the headphones on. Amazing tool!
