Little dissapointed...

After trying the original Rock man back in the 80's this is a bit of a letdown! The clean sound is just that. You can tell there is compression working and it does a decent job however, turn up the volume more than half way and the sound quality begins to break up. Crunch or semi distortion is quiet compared to full distortion or clean and again the device seems to struggle with volume. Distortion sound is the best. Plenty of susta... Show Morein, sounds good whichever pickup you're on and you can find those 'tweaked' harmonics although, there is an evident mains hum on the dirty settings. This could possibly be due to testing with a 60's strat reissue? The sockets and buttons seem more robust than they did in the 80's but the headphones are cheap. Haven't plugged into an amp yet and am concerned about the noise but will have to wait and see. I feel that this is overpriced - 50 euros would be a better price point but as a practice device you can't really complain.
