Average SNR, poor compatibility, and overall unimpressive
It's very prone to creating ground loops. The USB ground is connected to the monitor outputs, and both XLR and TRS grounds. In my setup, I had speakers that took inputs from both the computer and the Scarlett. Needless to say, it didn't work very well. I couldn't use this in a simple enough way to avoid ground loops. I video stream our Church Service using a MacBook Pro and OBS software. We had a problem using existing external mike to record sound due to interface problem (analog to digital), the internal mic in the computer was the only source for sound. The Scarlett Solo USB interface solved the problem and also gave us gain control for volume. Works Great

Noise!
I use with Sure SM35 (which comes with a dedicated preamp) and gain is almost at max, like 9.5 out of 10. 1. There's enough noise in the recorded signal to require using a gate. 2. Direct monitoring with headphones has really excessive noise. Not a good headphone amp, I suppose. Maybe the Audient iD4 would do better. Idk.

Definitely would buy this product again.
First thing I noticed was the quality build of the product, very solid. The price for the quality of work you can perform on this interface is excellent. Sounds are clear, Set up is not hard and to top it off you get so much bonus material with the interface you will have no second thoughts about your purchase. Excellent product.

Excellence, Build, Quality components and looks to match
Perfect for newbie like me. Simple solid construction with some updated features over version one. Very easy to use right out of the box, looks great also. My only odd issue was with windows 10, I still needed a inline pre amp like Cloudlifter or Fethead. I did chose fethead and love it.
