Great affordable amp
Overall sound quality is noticeably improved. And you can get more volume if thats what you want, but I got the amp more to improve the sound quality. I use this amp with earphones, headphones, and my powered speakers. Yes, some of them are Bluetooth, but using them wired to this amp somewhat ruined that. I still use them connected through Bluetooth, just not all the time. Using them wired through the amp is just better. Using the amp along with REEQ app is just fantastic.

No more High Volume Phone Warnings
Besides improving the sound of my Sennheiser Momentum 2 with my LG G6 phone it also allowed them to be used without getting into the high volume warning. Small and solid, highly recommended

Simple, Clean
Paired with the FiiO X3 primarily for the easy volume control. With X3's customizable EQ and A3's Bass boost, the combo provides a lush, rich sound. I use the X3/A3 for my .WAV backing traks that I play through a PA for live music. The output is clean, fat and happy.

An excellent one-purpose device
I use the Fiio A3 primarily with my Fostex T50RP-mk3s. Those headphones are fairly hard to drive (think HD600's), and the setting is always on High Gain and 6 on the dial, with source at 100. In comparison, with my Sony MDR-V6's, High Gain and 5 on the dial is the limit before the sound is unbearably loud. Great travel amp
This amp is the perfect pairing with an iPod nano generation 7 for traveling with IEM's. Fits in a shirt pocket with easy access to volume control and bass boost to drown out plane noise.

Great, robust and practical amplifier.
This is a great starter amplifier. Out of the box it's build quality is solid. Interface is simple. It's shape and plug orientation could be improved. I do notice better quality in instrument separation when listening to various genres of music. Amplification is just adequate for my situation. I work in loud atmosphere. But at my home it's plenty.
