Best monitor I have ever had
I use this for web, documents, office, graphics design, photo and video work. The size and clarity have improved my workflow and productivity. I would buy this again and recommend it to friends. Did not think the adjustability would matter, but it does.

Good monitor, no HDMI
Decent colour and contrast, although this is my second one, bought a year a part and I had a hard time colour matching. I wish it had HDMI, but my new MacBook retina has 2 display/thunderbolt ports so I just had to order a second adapter for another $30.

Excellent Monitor
We've purchased 6 of these monitors over the past year. They are a breeze to set up and feature awesome clarity and brightness, all at a reasonable cost. I would not hesitate to order 6 more!

I would buy this product again
I hooked this easily up to my laptop to work with photos. Beautiful screen, very clear and bright. Makes working on photos easy. I can't believe I waited so long to buy another screen to hook up to my laptop.

Work as expected
This is much brighter than my 3 year old Dell 2408WFP. It has every ports I need and is easy to setup. Feel a bit lighter than the old one too! The only thing it does not have is the HDMI port though. For the price it can be beat for an IPS panel....

Beautiful Monitor / Adequate Technology
As a photographer, I use the monitor extensively to process and edit photos using Lightroom and Photoshop. I have attached the monitor to my Dell laptop so it was a huge improvement as far as size AND quality. The IPS technology means I don't have to try and find that sweet spot. The anti-glare surface fits me well as I don't care for the high gloss surfaced montors. The price was right, ording from B&H was easy, and shipping was right on time! The only negative I have on the monitor is that it does not have an HDMI input. So I had to purchased a DisplayPort to DVI converter.

Big Bright and Beautiful
I use this as my business computer monitor, as a commercial photographer I will use it for all my non location digital editing. I may end up with a second similar monitor for a dual set up. But wow this increases my real estate. Down side in increased resolution is smaller fonts. Can be adjusted..

Great Monitor for the Price
I often need a lot of workspace on my monitors so this was a great upgrade from a 19 monitor. I was looking for a a good versatile monitor at a reasonable price that would work well for my music production as well as some photo and video editing. Based on the many great reviews I went with this one. After a couple of weeks, I'm very satisfied.

inconsistent color between monitors, etc
I bought a pair of U2412M monitors for use in a dual monitor display. With a black background, it is apparent that the backlight significantly bleeds through (rather uniformly), reducing the monitors' effective light to dark ratio. This was rather disappointing, but I worked around this problem by changing to a gray background, where the backlight bleedthrough problem is not so evident. Lots of Bang for the Buck
I mainly use this for photo editing. 16:10 aspect ratio is great. I was a little leery after using high end Apple monitors for years but after I wore the last one out and reading several reviews I decided to try this Dell.

Pretty good for the price
The monitor works all right, and for the price, it is pretty good. I've gotten used to the better screens on our MacBook Pro laptops, but in this case, I just needed a monitor for OS driver development and couldn't rationalize a higher budget.

Great Display!
This thing looks great, plain and simple. It's a little pricier than other similar-sized displays, but it is sharper and much more pleasing to the eye. I got this for our photo guy here at work and he loves it. It blows the 24 monitors that we've been buying for 1/2 the price out of the water. If you put this next to your cheapo display you'll notice the difference. If you are just doing general work on it and not photo/video high detail stuff, the cheapo monitors might be the way to go.

Upgraded from a 19 Dell monitor & love how it looks! The picture is clear & sharp and how things should look. Recommend setting the resolution to 1920 x 1200 for sure.

What I needed
Bright, sharp, clear, good color rendition. I'm using it for my main desktop monitor connected to my 2011 MBP after my 23 cinema display died. Can't beat the price and the picture is good.

Great Programming Monitor
I use this monitor for software development. The extra vertical pixels (1200 instead of 1080 for most monitors) make a huge difference. Color reproduction is great, response time is totally acceptable for text work. There is definitely that IPS 'look' of light bleeding at the edges if you have a totally black background, but it's acceptable. I don't have any problem with the anti-glare coating. Monitor met my expectations
This is my first IPS monitor. The screen was very evenly lit and viewable from a wide angle. I used my color calibration software and it only needed a minor tweak in the green to match up. My primary use is for photo editing, and I do not use this for gaming.

second choice but satisfied
I was planning on purchasing the Dell 2410 but it was discontinued when I was ready to buy it, so, I opted for the 2412. I was worried that having a smaller color gamut would hinder photo editing but since the vast majority of my work is in black and white I pulled the trigger with the knowledge that I could return it. After calibrating the monitor with the syder 4 pro I am very pleased with the monitor. It's well built and the four usb inputs are a definite plus. For the price this monitor is hard to beat.

Nice size - good for photo editing - an improvement over my previous 22 montor. Useful with CS6 and Lightroom 5. B&H had the best price by far and delivery was very quick.

Love this monitor!
I am very happy with my purchase of this monitor. Can't beat the price for what you get IMO. e-IPS technology gives you brighter, richer colors than a typical TN panel for a bit less than a true IPS monitor. But the big thing for me is the resolution. I don't like the common 24 1920 x 1080 monitors because they seem to short in height in ratio to the long length. But with this one (1920 x 1200) you get over an inch in height. Highly recommended!
