I use this amplifier to do two things, really. It acts as both a volume controller and an output selector for my computer's audio. I purchased this AMP800 to compliment my new Sony MDR-XB500 headphones, and it does a great job of it (they sound awesome). It lets me seamlessly route my music to either my headphones or my desktop speakers and lets me do so without having to adjust the volume control in Windows. The volume/balance control knobs are ... What I expected - works as advertised
I need a quick, affordable headphone amp solution. This seemed to be it. It works exactly as advertised. Build quality is good for the price but this is no Rane or Presonus quality. It sounds ok but has cheap electronics inside. When you switch one headphone amp to a or b, the light above it or below it turns on in sympathy. I would buy this again...

Works exactly as described
I am a hobby keyboardist and have widely differing degrees of hearing loss between ears. The controls on this product let me adjust to exactly my needs. The amount of amplification is more than adequate. This will also greatly improve my listening to CDs

Not enough power :(
This headphone amp couldn't push enough power to the 150 feet i needed. Not a bad amp, just not good enough for what I needed.

Solid sound for a great price
I needed a 4 channel headphone amp for a small project and this certainly over delivered in terms of sound and value.

2 mixes, 4 headphones
Used in my small studio to provide mixes off the returns from Studio One. Works fine. Seems a bit flimsy, as others have said, but works fine.

Excellent value good features and perfor
I use this in a small home studio. This is a strong headphone amp with many features including support for two headphones per channel. VU meters for each channel including input. Seems a bit fragile, but no problems for me with use. Definitely a good value with good features. Headroom is excellent and output is very strong.

An excellent value for a musician
This product is a great value for a musician that needs to monitor with headphones, which is what it's designed for. For that purpose, it works well, and it's hard to believe that they can build something as elaborate as this for the price. I used it for to amplify the output of a TV for headphones. For this, it needs a couple of adapters, to convert a 1/8 stereo input to two 1/4 mono inputs. I also needed to adapt a 1/4 headphone output to 1/8 t... Show More

Exactly what it needs to be
I purchased this as a solution for monitoring recording and playback in a small home studio setup and it has worked beautifully. Its nice and compact and has plenty of ins & outs for the needs of a small setup. Plus, after a lot of searching, the price here on B&H was by far the best!

Not built to last
It looks pretty, but after a few yanks on the cables or falls from the desk, this thing quickly wears out. If you're using it at home in a safe environment, you can probably scrape by with it, but for any type of situation where it might take some abuse, I would not recommend it.

A versatile pre-amp
I use this product to interface a low-level output of my Receiver/Amplifier to drive AM and FM transmitters, and the audio input to a remote computer. The unit works very well with independent output channel adjustments. Noise, hum and distortion are imperceptible. I do wish the channel outputs had 5 to 10 dB greater power.

Great Performance
I use this product for the musicians in our worship team. Two people connect to one channel and share a mix. We use 2 of these units for 5 people. I also use the titan earbuds. The unit has a great sound to it. It is used through the monitor aux in the sound system. I have to turn down the gain on the equalizer so as to not overdrive the miniamp. With the right adjustments, this miniamp delivers superior sound, and great performance.

Behringer Headphone Amp Gets The Job Don
This product is used in a project studio for recording/listen back purposes. I'm using it to monitor live recordings and then monitor tracks for overdubs. I/O is adequate, I am able to hook this up to my recording interface without issue. Sound quality is clean, powerful. My only gripe, the case is pretty flimsy...would not inspire confidence if it fell from the desk.

Excellent Value
Very flexible compact unit... Either of 2 stereo inputs can be selected to any or all of 4 pairs of stereo headphones. Each with individual controls. Multiple units can be chained to support additional headphones. Quality seems excellent for remote, on-site work. (Might not meet extreme studio standards, though.) But, given the cost of the unit, it's a very good value...

excellent product for the money
This product is aimed at the professional audio market, thus only balanced or unbalanced 1/4 inch jacks can be used. I bought some 1/4 to RCA jacks and it works just fine, although balanced would be ideal my source isn't balance, so it doesn't matter in my case.Compared to the an amplifier I owned costing literally 10 times more than the AMP800, the AMP800 performs very well.As expected from a product costing 10 times less than the my other amp, ... decent amp for the price.
When I needed five headphone amps for a show that's entirely played back through headphones, the Behringer was certainly the right choice at 40 bucks a pop. There wasn't anything cheaper available, and it turned out they were easy to use and sounded good. Just know that you'll need a Y cable if you have a stereo input like a portable cd player or mp3 player. The input jacks on this are NOT stereo, regardless of what it looks like. When running a TRS stereo plug into the left in, I got some very nice radio interference that was solved by the Y cable. So other than that, they worked just fine.
