Excellent Monitor for Price
We work with video and still graphics on Macs. Its nice to find a plug and edit monitor without any issues that also has excellent color and detail. The price caught my attention and helped with budgets, we'll likely buy a few more.

Great with 2013 Mac Pro
I researched many monitors for my New Mac Pro a year ago. Honestly I kind of stressed out for a while. I was intent on geting a 4k monitor. After a while I noticed that nobody on any of the Mac user sites was reporting a positive experience with any 4k monitor. So I lowered my sites to a 2k or iMac style resolution. I finally settled on this model from Asus. Asus has always been a brand I hold in high esteem. I have built desktops and servers bas... Show More

Great HD monitor
We are using this monitor with Wirecast video production software running on a new Mac Pro, so it is important that each of the multiple components of the production be clear. This monitor fits the bill perfectly. No need to spend big bucks for a genuine Apple monitor - this one is great

Super Bright & Vivid Colors
Even though this Monitor was released in 2012, It has surpassed all my expectations by a mile. It is still top rated by many websites in the 2K category... and the price has gone down to around $400. I have the brightness down to 60 it is so bright out of the box. Tht color redition is spot on and the colors are absolutely vivd... and the whites and blacks are pure. Mine has no dead pexils and no backlight bleed.

Best 2560x1440 in the market
Superb!!! I tested out 3 other brands, more expensive than this Asus and they don't even come close to the beautiful clarity and brightness of this monitor. I have it side by side to an Apple Thunderbolt Cinema Display and I have to say I am not sure which one looks better. I honestly do not have any cons.

Awesome Screen!
This screen is great, added it to the two that I already have and am loving the experience of having 3 monitors on one PC.

In love with my monitor
First PC build ever, came from a small netbook I had for the last 4-5 years. What a difference! Love the big screen, nice colors, resolution is phenomenal (I have much more real estate to work in now) and at a great price.

Great Large screen
Easy to install and compatible with all systems. Now I can see all pages at once instead of having to scroll down all the time! Need to figure out how to widen all the pages now to fit the screen better.

Absolutely Love it!
As a photographer, color accuracy was of utmost importance. After much research I decided on the Asus PB278Q. I ordered it through B&H and kept my fingers crossed that there would be no adverse issues. I'm happy to report that it was perfect out of the box. Gorgeous color and contrast. My previous monitor was a viewsonic and while it was good, it only lasted three years! I'm hoping to have this one much longer. I also love the 27 size. I'm in heaven.

Very nice monitor
I like almost everything about this monitor. The colors are good, like the size, the controls are OK and the stand is nice and sturdy. The major thing I don't like is how bright it is. I turned the brightness down to 20% and it still hurts my eyes when I use it in low light. The built in speakers are terrible but I did not plan on using them anyway.

JUNK, because it is nearly impossible to connect cables
This monitor is excellent in most respects but fails due to a very significant flaw: the way that the ports on the back are located. Whoever did this design was an idiot in the truest sense of the word. If you look closely at the pictures that show the connectors, you will see that they face downward (in landscape orientation; they face to the side when in portrait orientation), but they are located in a RECESSED area in the back of the monitor. ... As good as the Thunderbolt monitor, less than half the cost
This monitor is so good, I purchased a second display for home. The display quality is tremendous and is the perfect compliment to my MacBook Pro with Retina. What I see on the laptop is exactly what I see on the ASUS display, which is critical to me for photo editing in Lightroom. Connections are simple using the HDMI port. The base is very sturdy and has a smooth vertical adjustment. The only minor drawbacks are the size, it's a little thick, and the built-in speaker that lacks decent audio controls. It's a small annoyance and I just disable it.

Where price meets quality
I am downgrading from a 27 Imac to PC system. I was looking for a comparable monitor, but had photo-editing in mind. This monitor is 1) very sturdy, well built 2) solid black 3) clean around the edges. It can range from very bright to exceedingly dim. The colors are very accurate with default settings, but there are great recommendations in the forums for changing if needed. Speakers aren't terrible, but not impressive. I thought the connections ... Show More

Big & Bright
Replaced my 22 inch at home and used that for my home office. The 22 Samsung was marginally better than the 17 Dell. The ASUS blows them both away. Crisp, good colors, good price. Was hesitant about purchasing an ASUS, but it is good quality at a decent price.

Extremely Happy
I'm using this monitor for video editing and photography. Colors are true right out of the box. Highly recommend this monitor if your in the market for a 27 2560 x 1440 resolution. This will be a great companion sitting next to my upcoming Apple 27 iMac with Retina 5K display! As always, B&H is the best! Ray

Great Picture
I use this monitor for several things, but mainly photo editing & gaming. Beautiful picture, however a little on the bright side. Even after calibration, still a little too vivid & bright for me on the game setting, but the sRGB seems to be great. I'll have to admit I have not received any photos back yet to compare with the monitor & as far as gaming, I just use the standard setting & increase the brightness from where I calibrated. Excellent product - glad I bought it!
I bought this monitor because I wanted more screen space and I also wanted the 2560 x 1440 resolution. The setup was relatively easy, although you do have to be careful to get snug fits on the cables and the power cord. I am connecting this monitor to a late 2012 Mac Mini and purchased a Display Port to MiniDisplay Port cable from B & H to make that connection. I did this because HDMI on that version of the Mini cannot go above 1920 x 1080 resolu... Show More

The Greatest!!!
This is the Best monitor hands down I had ever own. Great investment. Will be buying another one shortly. The best quity dollar per dollar. If you want a first class monitor get this one from the First Class store B&H. The quality of this monitor is impressive and so is the B&H customer service. That is why I had been buying from them from more than 45 years.

Beautiful picture
The color and clarity of this monitor are fantastic. This is a great professional monitor for this price. The B&H price was almost $ cheaper than I could find it anywhere else. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because there is 1 stuck pixel. It is only noticeable if the screen is black and I'm looking closely at the monitor.

A Great Bargain
I use this as my primary monitor. My other two monitors are 25 and 22 1920x1080 ones. I use the PB278Q for graphics and as a general purpose monitor. I calibrated all three with a Spyder 4 hardware/software product. None of the monitors needed much correction. The PB278Q is razor sharp. It looks better if you lower the brightness down to half. In the pre-calibrated sRGB mode, there is no adjustment of brightness, but I could handle this in the ca... Show More
