I was so on the fence about this. I already have a Shure MV88, which is nice for eliminating room noise, capturing music, etc. Not professional quality, but better than what you can usually get with your iPhone. Lots of digital interference - I really want it to work
I thought this would be the most perfect thing ever. To have a good quality lav in your pocket anytime, a back up and even as a third mic when you need to record more than 2 people. Right from day one, about 25% of the recordings have terrible digital interference. I had always switched the phone to airplane mode just to prevent people from calling or notifications ringing. Shure APP saves the day! Now this thing works
I bought this about six months ago, and the free Apogee app gave me nothing but trouble. I want to use this to record video, and it simply did not work. I was looking to sell, and in the mean time bought the Shure MV88. Shure has two apps, one for audio and one for video, and they both work great with this Sennheiser clip-mic. Great sound - live the ios interface BUT...
...beware to CHARGE your phone before + get a kind of box/cover(or gaffa) to make sure the plug dosnt jump off during the talk! Besides this its really great and you can sync by just clapping before recording - even in imovie - its really simple and easy! (And I work with 4K video- no problemo with speed / sync anything :-) And drag the sound from the iphone via itunes and cable OR via dropbox :-) For this price its a MUCH better solution than any wireless mess out there for 4-6 times the price! Can ALSO be used DIRECTLY on the iphone for videorecording!

Pairs great with my G3
I bought this for a series of short films that I'll be shooting soon. I went with the Clip-Mic because I needed a relatively inexpensive mic solution that would cut with my Sennheiser G3 system. I've tested it out, and it does just that. A blind listener couldn't tell the difference between the two. So, as of right now, I'm very happy with it. I'm just excited that there's a comparable, inexpensive alternative to the G3s. No complaints.

Great lav mic!
Great lavalier mic, sounds fine for the price and the app is really good (Apogee), I use it to have good speaker audio when video recording with my GoPro. It never go out of sync in longer shots, this could happen with normal voice recording apps, the frame rate is different than video rates. Make sure you record with the Apogee App if you are recording audio for external video. I also use it for Facebook live and voice audio is great.

Great Mic, Short Cord
I've used this mic a couple of times and the sound quality has been excellent for shooting video interviews on my iPhone 6s+. My only quibble is that the cord is a little limiting in terms of length. I found an extension lightning cable that has added another three feet to the reach of the cord. It works, but it isn't elegant. I wish there was an option for a longer cord or an accessory extension cord.

Fantastic new mic
This new mic is fantastic. It produced clear sound, is easy to set up and you can control the volume from your iPhone. The analog sound is converted to digital before it reaches your iPhone. You can also monitor the audio you are recording with a headphone that does not have it's own mic. The clip-mic cord is long enough for to place the subject at relaxed distance from the camera.

Simply wonderful
We use this with iTouch in Officiant's pocket for over 30 wedding videos per year. It is impeccable audio! I cannot get over the quality of the audio it produces. Absolutely broadcast level. And I can control the level from my iWatch from Apple. Just love this. I am not a gear tech freak but this one really ranks high on my list of great products.

Outstanding microphone
I was using an Apogee One with Audio Technical XLR lav mic for audio input for iPhone 6 plus video production using Filmic app. This mic rivals the sound quality of that setup. Sennheiser and Apogee hit a home run with this mic! Clarity is superb with very minimal background noise.

Great quality when it works
I have tested this alongside the Shure Motiv and Rode smartLav that are comparable. I've used this for a few days and seem to encounter static interference more often than the other microphones. If this continues, I cannot support this as a reliable audio solution.

Requires an app costs money in-effect
It's annoying that after buying it you then have to get an app that you have to pay money for to access all features such as unlimited recording. It's an annoying and insulting way to sell a product.
