Sony 90 mm FE all the way!!!
This is my first Macro Lens, the quality is superb.. awasome lens and I love it.. not only works for macro shooting its also very good portrait.

Fabulous lens
This lens on my Sony A7RII rivals the Canon f2.8 300 in sharpness. After figuring out how to use it (the instructions are the only thing I could possibly complain about, but B&H tech support was great) I don't want to take it off the camera. It is so easy to use. I love the bokeh with it wide open.

Very nice lens
With the a7r II a wonderful combo, sharper, better contrast than the Canon 100/ f2.8 or the 180 f/3.5 on a 5Dsr. I really like the auto/ manual focus ring.

Great macro
Build quality and optics are excellent! Autofocus is rapid, wasting no time on searching; focus limit switch helps reduce searching and conserves battery. I really like the operation of the MF/AF switcher. It would have been nice if the lens had a tripod foot!

Increadably sharp
This lens is amazing: 1 corner to corner sharp. 2 shift from auto focus to manual instantly 3. Hold the manual focus point and reset composition

High quality lens that does everything I had hoped.
So far I have used this for macro photography, mainly close up shots of flowers and hummingbirds. I have only had it for a few weeks, and also intend to use it for portrait work. I like the size and weight, not finding it especially heavy or large. The stabilizer works well and is very quiet. In terms of results, this lens is as sharp as any of the macros I have had, like the Canon 100mm and 180mm.

Sharpest Macro Lens.
I have used this lens hand held and on a tripod with my Sony A7Rii. I have been an advanced amateur photographer for 40 years and this is the sharpest lens I have ever had the pleasure of using.

in short: AMAZING PRODUCT
this lens is by far the best photography related purchase i have done. the sony 90mm macro is a very sharp strongly built lens that has a lovely ring you can move back and forth to switch between auto and manual focusing. i shoot on a sony a6000 and since i bought the 90m macro its been the lens i use the most from macro photography to portraits i would highly recommend this lens to anyone shooting with sony cameras EVEN for the a5100/a6000 cameras i highly doubt someone can regret purchasing a lens of this quality.

Beautiful
Love this lens ! After a lot of research and debating between this and other primes at similar lengths. I decided to go with the 90 mostly due to the price - I was not disappointed. Love all the features - focus lock and manual to auto focus switch.

Perfect portrait lens!
I use it strictly for shooting people. It is sharper than the batis 85 and it is sharp from corner to corner like a true macro lens. This is one of the sharpest lenses in the universe and it gets even sharper as u stop down. With Sony eye af, focus is always perfect. The colors, contrast are exceptional and my portraits look outstanding.

Excellent glass for both macro and portraits
From the shots taken so far with this lens, it is an absolute beast! Just getting into macro work, and was hesitant to take the plunge for this lens, and am loving it so far. Have taken great insect shots both on a tripod and handheld. The OSS works great, as I don't have the most steady hands. I love this lens!
This lens is like two lenses in one. I use it with my A7RII. It is a great macro lens and the 90mm focal length and F2.8 works beautifully especially in low light as a portrait lens. It switches easily from A/F and manual mode by moving the lens ring in and out. The optical steady shot feature comes in handy on those hand-held shots. IMPRESSIVE LENS
This is my first FE lens for my first FF A7II camera. This lens (and camera)produces excellent image quality, colors and sharpness. The AF on both is fast enough to track a Bee In Flight as shown on my attached picture.

Very sharp lens w/ minimal distortion
Not too heavy for 2.8 prime lens (compared to some others). Tack sharp w/ normal viewing distance normal human vision. No complaints. Use for of course macro and table top photography.

This lens is sick!!!
Pretty amazingly sharp lens if you ask me. I can't imagine what it can do on a full frame camera. It is big on my camera but not as heavy as I expected from reading other reviews. These to pictures were shot with an a5100 the very first test in my back yard.

Excellent Macro Lens
Terrific lens for macro photos. The pictures are very sharp and good color. The only negative is that, because its for full frame, its a large, heavy lens, but the quality of the pictures make it worth it.

Mean Lean Product Shooting Machine
I have to do a lot of quick product shots for online sales. I had been using some old Leitz macro lenses (60mm & 100mm) which seemed lovely, but I had a feeling this dedicated modern lens would speed things up somewhat. Boy, oh boy, was I right. waited too long to buy this beauty
I use this on my A6000 and strategically purchased this for a future move to an A7, A7s etc. I already have a Sigma 105 macro for my A65 which gives great results but lacks ability to autofocus in Macro without going unstable..(hunting etc.) After ordering the 90mm, I had second thoughts about it... why do I need two Macros in this range? I like this lens, but...
I like this lens for a lot of applications, but it seems to have an issue with fringing under high contrast situations such as back lighting. Otherwise it is sharp, consistent, and fast.

Very Sharp!
Very pleased with the results of the 90mm macro on my a7II. The lens is very sharp and when working with macro, the AF speed is fine. Also works very well in manual mode which will be the primary use for macro. Also used it with some portraits outside this weekend and also worked out great.

FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro G OSS
This lens is built like a tank, and I primarily purchased it for flower macro photography, which is still to come here in Northern New England but so far the few macro and portrait shots I have taken have been wicked sharp. I highly recommend this lens but with the caveat of only limited use.
