Great little camera Sony a6500
I upgraded from the Sony a6000. I mainly photograph wildlife and this camera seems faster and better on focusing on fast flying birds. Also the view finder has a nice clear image. I also like the fast buffer with reading the card. I've only had the cammera a little over a week now and am really enjoying it. Great camera for the enthusiast...
The Sony A6500 is a great camera for the enthusiast who wants a small package to tote around, but also retain the ability to connect some great glass for quality images. I'm still learning the features and experimenting with different subjects. I focus mostly on wildlife (birds, fish, and my dogs), landscapes, a little lunar, concert, and some portrait photography. A6500 Sony mirrorless camera
This is a great light weight camera. B&h has lots of great deals and promotions. I was able to purchase this item during a special and I was satisfied with the purchase. I compared with other stores online and I was not comfortable with purchasing from them but B&h has good service for the items they sell. I am very satisfied.

Great camera all round
I'm not a professional photographer, but I can hold my own as an hobbits and enthusiast in the art, being taking photographs for very long time and I must say this camera is a great tool I can't put it down I do lots of church events on a weekly basic and the low light with a Zeiss lens, untouchable without tripod say something about the IBIS in a very small body, the only draw back Sony could have included a microphone jack where you could monitor sound, but then again it is for still photographer not video, but overall it is a great camera.

Very competent medium sized camera
Purchased the a7500 as a smaller backup to my a7r2 and to fill the image quality gap between my RX100 and a7r2. It is a very competent camera with much of the function of its larger sibling but of course fewer pixels and 1.5 X field of view. I am still evaluating it but so far am satisfied.

Great camera!
Great mirrorless camera. Great quality. Feels good in your hands. Still learning all the functions and features it has to offer but so far it has been excellent to shoot with. I've seen a couple of YouTube videos on how Sony resolved the overheating issue they had with the previous versions but more testing probably needs to be done. Definitely would recommend it.

Great camera

Great for video
I was using an A6300 for video interviews but found the overheating issue problematic. I upgraded to the A6500 for this one reason and I'm happy I did. I have just finished a large project where I recorded long interviews at 4K and had none of the shutdown due to overheating I had with the A6300. The clips are limited to 30 minutes, but I was able to just re-start record and continue on for another 30 minutes and then again for another 20 minutes... Show More

Great camera but STILL overheats when shooting 4k!
I did a test today indoors (in an A/C-filled cool room) and the camera still overheated! And it's brand new! The entire body got hot. I even had the menu properly set so the camera keeps running if it overheats, gand it did for a while, but after an hour and a half, it still shut down. Great
Replaced a6000 and supplement Cannon 6ti for high school sports. Meta bones adapter allows use of Canon lens. Tests at 7-7 and Tball have been very good. First sample had an problem (spot on sensor) and B&H replaced immediately.

CAMERA IS NICE BUT THE SONY BATTERY (NP-FW50) IS DEFECTIVE
CAMERA WORKS VERY WELL. I CAPTURED FANTASTIC IMAGES WITH A6500. I CAN GET 80/85 SHOTS WITH NP-FW50 CAME WITH THE NEW CAMERA BODY. BATTERY WAS INSIDE A OPEN PLASTIC BAG, I DONT KNOW IT IS OLD OR DEFECTIVE. I USED THE GENERIC ONE WHICH WAS IN A SMALL BOX ( CAME THE WITH THE PACKAGE FROM B&H) TODAY. I TOOK 138 PICTURES TODAY AND THE BATTERY IS STILL GOING STRONG.

Great little camera
My main camera is the Canon 1dx mark ii but this little Sony A6500 gets used much more due to its compact size. I can easily tote it in a small backpack with 3 or 4 lenses and a flash. I pretty much take it everywhere. I still love my Canon for certain events, but this little Sony is equally loved. Great camera!

Great little camera
I'm on the Isle of Man for the 2017 TT motorcycle races, weather has limited practice sessions. Yesterday I took several photos with Sony's A6500 that turned out great considering the conditions. About 8:00 pm, sky's completely overcast threatening rain and I'm shooting down a lane that is cast in shade by trees. I was very satisfied with the a6000, but the new a6500 is like a new camera. The sensor seems to be much better at handling noise. You can get decent pictures even at the high ISO levels. The stabilisation works well and the other features sure work well so far. There is much to learn and become familiar with. Sony made this camera with so many ways to customize it for yourself. Completely happy to add the Sony Alpha a 6500 to my gear
Without repeating what has already been said in reviews, I agree with the positive remarks. I bought this camera hoping to benefit from rapid focus and in camera stabilization when using a the Tamron 150-600mm F/5-6.3 lens with an adapter to shoot wildlife hand held when necessary. Best mirrorless camera.
This camera is amazing I didn't think it was going to be this good. I come from being an all time canon user for years and doing the switch to Sony was a big move for me. I really enjoy the switch I made. This camera is perfect for video and photos and slow motion too. It really feels like a high end camera. I highly recommend it.

Wow, exceptional image and video quality.
This maybe one of the best do all, runabout cameras I have ever used. Image quality is excellent, autofocus is spot on and fast. The video quality is excellent. I don't know why everyone complains about the menu system being hard to use, I don't have any issues with how its laid out (there is a lot of stuff in there, but the camera does a lot of stuff). I love this Camera!
I had the a6000 with the simple kit lens, and i loved it. Decided to upgrade and this camera and lens combo is the best thing I have ever owned. The depth and clarity of the photos at very low light is amazing. And shooting 4K is beyond. I was filming my son jumping on the couch and the camera picked up every dust particle in the air. Great body, awful instructions and software
Very much improved from earlier e-mount Sony cameras I have been using. The in-body image stabilization finally lets me use my collection of early Nikon lenses. Manual focus assist with peaking means they are incredibly useful and tack-sharp (and costless!) Worth the upgrade from a6300!

Great camera and Finally has a touchscreen.
It is about time sony integrates the touchscreen into their bodies. They did it many year ago with the nex 5n. Was it worth the wait? I don't about that, but i do love the touchscreen for focussing while the camera is on my gimbal. Works really well.
