The Best Camera I've Ever Used
For the price this is the best camera I've ever used. I 've use black magics, nikon's, canon, gh4, arri alexas, other sony's such as the a7s and For the price nothing comes close to this for me. Only down sides to this camera are battery life (which duh you can buy more batteries) and the grip is a little short but I fixed both those issues with a $60 battery grip.

sony could and should learn from Apple.
EXTREMELY awkward to use wifi transfer of pictures, requiring too many steps. some features need better explanation. seems to take ok pics. on my nex7, which it replaced, pics were never sharp enough. seems better on this one. menus are deep, but not as complicated as some say.

Awesome camera!
Small camera with such super power. Hard to compare other cameras out there for the price and quality. Enjoying the camera from day 1. Highly recommended!!

This camera is truly worth the value. Just amazing. Only gripe is that it doesnt have a foward facing/tilting LCD screen.

Upgraded from 6000, to 6300 and now the A6500 - great camera
I have upgraded from 6000 to 6300 and now 6500. I love this camera body. The only thing I wish camera mfg would do is add gps to their bodies. It is fast, compact and light.

Great small camera with a great amount of power
The first few days with this have been wonderful. I've been winding down my freelance business gear to consolidate and was looking for an option that can shoot as good or better than my a7s (which this does with 4K and 1080 at 120fps!) and can also be used for photos so hopefully I may not need my Canon 6d anymore. So far I've loved it! I'm using it with the Zhiyun Crane which has also been a wonderful upgrade from a Glidecam.

Outstanding 4K Image
Wow, after shooting some 4K with the A6500 I don't want to go back to HD. Yes you have to work around the pronounced rolling shutter but the 4K is tack sharp. Auto focus is superb, can easily create some nice rack focuses with the touchscreen. Unfortunately I got a unit with the jerky IBIS issue so sending it back and hoping to get a good one.

Tiny camera and huge performance!
Pretty little camera that gives a beautiful image quality! I'm surprised with the images... i use it for vdeo and with sony 18-105 is a perfect match to filmmakers... the only con is the record button is really in a bad location! Overall is a really good camera

I would buy this product again
This camera gives me everything I wanted from it: I shoot some professional interviews with it and I'm pretty happy with the results. Also, I love the still photos taken with it.

Love This Camera
I upgraded from a Sony A6300 because I wanted the in-camera image stabilization feature of the A6500. Two of my favorite Sigma lenses do not have image stabilization so having it in the camera was worth the expense of upgrading. I have given the A6500 a good test run now and am thrilled with its performance and the additional features of image stabilization, touch screen focusing, and expanded menu options. I also like having one more customizabl... Show More

Love, love, love this camera!!
As a woman,I always a Sony mirrorless camera fan & owner. I love taking pictures of family and friends and I love traveling. So Sony mirrorless camera is always my travel companion. It's light but can take amazing pictures. I still have my Nex 3, Nex 5 and Nex 7 cameras. Then I graduated to a6000, which is also a good camera, but I skipped the a6300 because it's almost similar to my a6000, and I know Sony will come out with something better, so I... Show More

Review sony a6500
We only use the 6500 for video - mainly weddings. So far amazing! The low light capabilty is incredible - so far 12000 iso and no video noise. Using sony 18-200 power zoom - great combination! As always b&h service is 5 star!! Selling my gh3 and gh4 and buying 2 more of these!

I would buy this product again and do recomend it too.
Owned the A6500 for four months now and I am happy with my purchase. I wanted a compact and lightweight camera kit. It fits the bill. The A6500 is complimented with Sigma Art prime lenses and a Leica 28mm prime that stays on the camera most of the time. The A6500 is a lot of fun. Bill K Steamboat Springs Colorado.

Worth it! Steady shot is great!
The a6500 is my first mirrorless and I love it! I chose this over the other alpha series because I wanted the image stabilization and 4k video. This is a great camera for the price. It will last a very long time. It will also hold its value pretty well.

Best APS-C camera in the market
Best APS-C camera in the market. A bit more expensive than the a6300, but the touch screen and in camera stabilization is worth it.

Great quality for price, if you have realistic expecations
So far I really like my a6500! Here are some observations I've had about it. Keep in mind I purchased this camera for its video capabilities. -Really surprised by the low light capabilities of this camera for an APS-C sensor. It's sooo clean, even at really high ISOs like 25,000. -The menus are much improved from what I have been used to in the a7s. The amount of customizing at your fingertips is really nice. With that said, there are still way t... Show More

would highly recommend
This was a gift for my wife. Pictures taken with it are excellent and the camera performs without noise at high ISOs at night. She also uses a mount lenses from her previous a camera without any problem with the LA4 adapter.

Sony A6500 for action shots.
I was hesitant about trading in my newly purchased A6300 for the A6500 but I really wanted the upgraded camera with the built in image stabilization. After using the A6500 for a few weeks with my 70-200 f4 lens, I still can't believe how much sharper my photos are taking photos of my daughter's soccer games. I wasn't sure if there would be much of an improvement in my shots since my lens has OSS but my photos are much crisper now! If you want to ... Show More

Great light camera
Fast focus, good poor light performance, and better than expected stock zoom lens. It is my hiking camera of choice after lugging a full frame Nikon an 400 mm zoom. Not quite as good but much more portable.

Excellent cam for the money
This things shutter speed is insane, slightly fast pic taking than a slow mo video. Image quality is outstanding. Wish the LCD screen was brighter tho
